2023 Michigan Top 250 Preview: Incoming Setters

This is a showcase that has historically been one of the most star-studded filled showcases in the Top 250 series. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With another high school season under our belt and an exciting club season ahead of us, we have a lot of really hot incoming talent to look forward to.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Let's start off strong with the top incoming setters to the Top 250 showcase in Michigan.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='487136' first='Kylie' last='Anderson']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='487136' first='Kylie' last='Anderson'] had a phenomenal year running the offense for Mattawan. A top-performing team out of the Kalamazoo area, Mattawan went on to do really big things. From a really promising performance at Beast of the East, Anderson was at the helm of it all. Anderson will be looking to repeat that success coming up in club with FaR Out.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='483970' first='Abby' last='Hicks']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It has been a long time since we've seen a Leland team go all the way to the finals in division four. But leave it to magnificent seven in Leland and the offense ran by [player_tooltip player_id='483970' first='Abby' last='Hicks'] to squash the drought. Hicks not only runs a real nice offense, but she move around the court very well. This feel for the court shows that Hicks may have some big time defensive chops as well. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='226904' first='Emma' last='Keeping']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We didn't get to see a lot of [player_tooltip player_id='226904' first='Emma' last='Keeping'] this fall, due to an undisclosed injury, but when we did get to see her, we saw great things. Keeping is one of the premier setters in the state of Michigan and within her class nationally. She's running at full health currently and will look to make an impression here at the PrepDig Top 250.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='354004' first='Tessah' last='Konas']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This was a historic year for Traverse City Saint Francis. 38-8-1 record and a State Chamionship appearance later. A large reason for this epic run came from the 6-2 offense helped ran by Tessa Konas. She is agile, she's dynamic and she can spread the ball around very effectively.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='261180' first='Korin' last='Hutton']&nbsp;</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Karen Hutton is a top 250 returner from a year ago. She's also a stand out from last year's top 250 and our summer showcase. Hutton is coming off of a really promising fall season with Anchor Bay. While placed within one of the toughest conferences and regions in Michigan, Hutton showed off some superb chops at setter.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
