But we’re not stopping there – we’re taking it to the next level by unveiling the cream of the crop: the top uncommitted prospects in each position. This will provide colleges with a crystal-clear view of the talent that’s still up for grabs.
Let’s take a look at the Top Uncommitted DS/Liberos
California 2024 Ranking #7
“Being a fearless libero is something that is innate and Tessa Hurley, while standing in on an overpass, shows that trait. She reads hits well and is seemingly right there on short tips up the sideline. When called upon to bump set, Hurley chooses to perform that skill by swinging her arms to guide a set to a hitter.” 2024s from Red Rock Rave | Prep DigTessa Hurley – Hudlrn

Michael’s standout moments are defined by her incredible digging skills. Her agility and swift footwork enable her to effortlessly position herself to receive the ball. Her expert mastery of the platform grants her the ability to make precise decisions when dealing with fast incoming hits and serves.

“She has been starring for La Canada High School for the past few years and also plays club for SG Elite. Miss Nussbaum has tallied the 8th most digs in the state of Cali so far on this young season. She currently sits at 103 digs in only 24 sets played. Since she started playing with the varsity team, her digging stats have gone up each year which tells a great story about her progress over the years. This year she is already digging two more digs per match which should help her eclipse her total from last season easily if she stays on target. Having a senior led back row will ultimately help La Canada stay in the discussion for a deep state playoff run. Chloe has fantastic emergency techniques to keep the ball off of the floor and is a master at picking up setter dumps. She keeps her eyes fixated on the setter and uses great court vision to see their actions happen before they actually happen. I love how she is not afraid of the hard driven ball or going to the floor herself to keep her team in the rally. I like what I see from her during her senior campaign and will be watching closely.” California High School Leaders – Dominating Defenders Vol 1 | Prep DigChloe Nussbaum – Hudl

“She plays at Saint Francis High School and also for the Vision volleyball program. Miss Wallace was pivotal throughout the entire tourney for this squad as they went on to win the Championship in the 17 Open division. With that they qualified for the USA Volleyball Junior Nationals this summer in Chicago. Her back row play in both serve receive and defense rose to the challenge when the going got tough and she allowed her squad’s offense to stay in system. They went up against some stellar attackers who were unleashing bombs on them, but Whitney was there to stop the ball from hitting the floor and keep the rally going. Time after time she sprawled out left, right, and in font of her to make some amazing saves. In my opinion she was one of the best liberos in the entire tournament regardless of age group. She keeps her weight on the balls of her feet, which helps her stay ready to react quickly to deflections, off-speed shots, and mis-hits. ” Salt Lake City National Qualifier Top Performers Vol 1 | Prep DigWhitney Wallace – Hudl

Sienna is an exceptional tracker, a fact clearly evident in her swift and graceful footwork. She maintains an unwavering focus on the moving ball, perpetually adjusting her position to ensure she’s perfectly poised to receive it. Her agility and energetic presence on the court are palpable, often punctuated by her enthusiastic claps during live ball plays. Notably, her coverage skills are top-notch, as she attentively observes the opposing block rather than fixating on her own hitters.

Jamie skillfully molds her platform, showing great control by pausing after each pass. This careful approach ensures that the ball leaves her platform gently, avoiding sudden jolts. She stays low to the ground and reacts quickly, emphasizing quick footwork over just using angles.
California 2024 Ranking #76
“A explosive player, Lindsey Du, comes up with hold your breath type moments on the court. Her steps and arms to the ball are again explosive and often at the last second. If that is not enough excitement, she has really excellent shuffle steps that close in on a fast attack from an opponent. When the ball contacts her, she manages all that explosiveness with a shoulder shrug. After Du makes her play, she is not done. Specifically, she stays clear of any hitter or gets in ready to pick up a ball that may get blocked.” Diggers Leading the State in Week 5 | Prep DigLindsey Du – Hudl
