Well under the radar at the time of our last rankings update, Thompson makes a huge leap to the #2 position in the 2025 Ohio class. The Ohio University commit is one of the most lethal arms in this given her ability to get up and bring big heat. A losing record in 2022 turned into a very productive 20-5 season for Fairfield Union behind Thompson’s huge offensive effort. With a career best 590 kills over the recent high school season, she earned 6.6 k/s on a very impressive .409 efficiency as a pin hitter. She also earned nearly 15 digs per match for the second straight season. The 1st team all-Ohio selection has big game and its scary to think what she’ll accomplish during her senior season next fall.

The 6’1 pin is coming off a big fall season in which she doubled her offensive production for Badin from a season ago. Heid led the GCL offensively with 424 total kills and a 4.4 k/s average. She improved her efficiency from 2022 while seeing several more offensive opportunities, which kept Badin in the mix all season including a productive postseason journey in which they lost in the regional final to the eventual DII state champion. They were the state runner-up a year ago. Her arm control has improved as well as she can swing for power through the full range of the court while also earning points with great touch and finesse. The Northern Kentucky commit was a 1st team all-Ohio selection and will once again compete for TSE’s top team in her age group.

AVC has a rich tradition of developing passers and defenders and Stutzman fits the mold well with her quickness, movement, and ability to create good angles with her platform. She has good volleyball I.Q. and is very engaged throughout point flow, which will be a key factor for her club team that should once again compete very well on the national scene. She is committed to Tennessee.
