Althea stands out as one of the most exceptional senior setters I’ve witnessed this season. It comes as no surprise that she’s earned the title of an All-American, paving her way to the prestigious St. Edward’s University Volleyball. Her agility and delicate touch on the ball are remarkable, consistently placing it with precision for her teammates. The rapid execution of her one-hand tips showcases her impressive skill set. Althea’s skill at covering her hitters from the block further adds to her prowess on the court.
In a recent conversation, I inquired about her reflections on the game and her aspirations for the upcoming round. Althea eloquently expressed, “Tonight’s game represents everything our team has been working for this season. It tested us mentally and physically, but we were able to persevere. Our desire to win and love for each other pulled us through. The energy was amazing and I’m so proud of how hard we pushed ourselves. I think one goal we are setting for the next round is starting strong and keeping that energy throughout the whole game and leaning on each other when we need it.”

Mila stands out as a remarkably disciplined passer on serve receive, demonstrating exceptional precision to get the ball to her setter. When she takes to the air, her hitting prowess is nothing short of impressive. As a second-team All-American, Mila is poised to lead her team on a determined run for the Championships. She will be playing club this season for City Volleyball Club ; however, she is already committed to play for Yale next year.

Ruby dominates the court, acting as the quarterback of the offense with a dynamic range of sets. Her strategic game is apparent as she successfully conceals her intentions, often leaving the opposing block in a state of confusion. In the back row, Ruby’s serve is a force to be reckoned with, scoring over 135 high school career aces. Ruby is also disciplined on defense, but executes a rapid transition to the net, showcasing her athleticism. As a nod to her outstanding performance, Ruby concluded her high school career with an impressive 1,931 assists.

Madelyn is an exceptional hitter, possessing a keen talent for strategically attacking the defense. Her aggressiveness at the net is evident in her hit selection, and she proves to be effective in hitting from both the outside and right side of the net. Additionally, Madelyn executes a graceful jump float with finesse. Madelyn impressively surpassed 960 kills in her high school career, a testament to her skill and volleyball IQ at the net.

Madison jump serve is a disciplined, and consistently racks up numerous aces. Whether positioned in the front or back row, she remains a reliable go-to option. Demonstrating versatility and court awareness, she finds a way to contribute to every play. Her exceptional court IQ shines through, discerning precisely when to unleash a powerful swing or execute a soft shot over the block. Notably, Madison will be playing club for Coast and is committed to the University of California, Santa Barbara.
