There were over 130 players from all over the great state of Texas, players from Oklahoma and also players from Arkansas that participated in this wonderful event. Volleyball is a true team sport in that it takes every single player to help a team compete. However, every team across all of the age groups has one or two players that are considered “Game Changers”. This moniker is given to those that literally change the dynamic of each team and give their squad a fighting chance to win. After watching all of these wonderful players during the two hour event, these were the players that I witnessed to be considered a true Game Changer for the Dallas Expo:
Madison Victoriano Madison Victoriano 5'9" | S Centennial | 2026 State TX [2026] 5-9 Setter (HS: Centennial/Club: Dallas Skyline/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Madison is currently ranked as the 27th best overall prospect in the 2026 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays for Centennial High School and also for the nationally recognized Dallas Skyline volleyball club. While I have seen Madison in person a few times over last year’s club season and also a previous showcase that we have run, she still amazes me at ho technical she is in the setting position. Currently ranked as the 6th best setter in her grad class, what I witnessed this past weekend at the Expo has me ready to move her up the rankings when I update it in a few months. It is like she was just born to play volleyball and it comes so naturally to her. Most of sports is repetitive movements, but there is a unique facet about volleyball which makes its players have to adjust so much. Since it is a rebound sport, you rarely have any control over how the ball is coming toward you. This means that as a setter, you have to be able to track and then react quickly while still maintaining great posture in your body. Miss Victoriano is one of the best at disguising where she is going to set the ball. Her posture makes it very hard for opposing defenders to cheat over to one side of the court. But she truly excels in going against the flow of the pass to give her hitters a one on one opportunity against the block. If you have not seen her in person, you really do need to watch her this club season. She is worth the price of admission and this is why we have awarded her a “Game Changer” for this Expo.
Julianna Hernandez Julianna Hernandez 5'6" | DS/L Frisco Memorial | 2026 State TX [2026] 5-6 Libero (HS: Frisco Memorial/Club: Texas Advantage Volleyball/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Julianna is currently ranked as the 6th best overall prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays at Frisco Memorial High School and plays club for Texas Advantage Volleyball club. We love us some Julianna!!!! The way that she plays the libero position is textbook, meaning if you looked up libero in the dictionary, there would be a picture of Julianna digging or passing a ball. When you watch her highlight film a lot stands out, but when you watch her in person it is even better. I love that she is always smiling and enjoying the game. Volleyball purists like myself love when players are able to enjoy their passion so much. Her form and technique as she moves to the ball and contacts it is the main reason why I have her ranked as the number one libero in her graduating class. Her natural touch on the ball just cannot be taught and the scary part is that she is only getting started. Every college coach in the country needs to have their eyes on this young lady as she navigates her recruiting journey over the next few years. Any school or program would love to have her on their roster. In my expert opinion, she is a player who is a “Game Changer”.
Kinsley Young Kinsley Young 6'4" | MB Southlake Carroll | 2026 State TX [2026] 6-4 Middle (HS: Southlake Carroll/Club: Texas Advantage Volleyball/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Kinsley is currently ranked as the 66th best overall prospect in the 2026 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but will be moving way up the rankings very soon when I update them next month. She plays at Southlake Carroll High School and also club for the famed Texas Advantage Volleyball club. There was no player who had more of a physical presence than Miss Young at the Expo. She was stellar in both offense and defense at the net. In regards to terminating balls, Kins was the leader of all of every middle that was in attendance. No one even came close to her production at the net. We have her ranked as the 12th best middle in her grad class, but she has gotten better over the entire school season. I am super excited to have seen her in person and this will help me when it comes to the rankings. The raw natural power she possesses in her upper body was on full display for every court coach and scout in the building. Very few athletes were able to match up with her during the team scrimmages. When it comes to “Game Changing” middles, Kins was the best!
