We will be holding our Dallas Top 250 Showcase on November 25th from 9:00-11:00am at the Southwest Athletic Center. We are going to be previewing some of the players who have already signed up to participate. The one aspect that sets our showcases apart from every other one in the country is how we offer coverage, before, during, and after it is completed. Without further ado, here are a few players who you should be watching at the showcase.
Abigail Smith [2025] 6-0 Outside (HS: Martin/Club: 360 Volleyball/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Abigail is currently an unranked prospect in the 2025 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Martin High School and also plays club for the 360 Volleyball program. Miss Smith is a talented pin who can terminate the ball with power. She has multiple weapons to choose from when swinging from the left side. Her ability to swing both line and angle show that she is not a one-trick pony. I also really like how she is able to adjust to inside sets with ease and still provide some heat on her attack. This shows fast footwork and ability to process things quickly mentally. When she turns on the ball, she has an uncanny ability to tool off of hands really well. Her calm platform during serve receive is a coach’s dream for a six rotation pin. I truly like her side out ability during her team’s rotation when she is in zone one passing and flaring out to the right side. As an attacker on the opposite side, hitting hard down the line is always a great weapon for any team to possess and that is exactly what Miss Smith is capable of doing. Stay tuned for our coverage of her at the Expo.
Camryn Bruder [2027] 5-4 Libero (HS: Burleson/Club: Outlaw VBC/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Camryn is currently an unranked prospect in the 2027 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Burleson High School and club for the Outlaw VBC program. Miss Bruder’s back row play has been fun to research. She is on her varsity team as a freshman and has contributed mightily to their season. This season she has amassed 270 digs and 353 service receptions. After watching her play, I have noticed that she does a fantastic job of keeping her weight on the balls of her feet, which allow her to not be slow during deflections off of the block. I see great pursuit both forward and laterally for balls hit outside her zone. While digging, she has shown a propensity to use some awesome emergency techniques to keep the ball alive for her squad. This kind of defensive pursuit is exactly what will showcase well at the Expo. I can’t wait to see it in person in Dallas and think she will turn some heads for sure.
Mary Esler Mary Esler 5'11" | RS Legacy Christian Academy | 2026 TX [2026] 5-10 Right Side/Middle (HS: Legacy Christian Academy/Club: Excel Volleyball /Verbal: Uncommitted)
Mary is currently an unranked prospect in the 2026 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Legacy Christian Academy and club for the Excel Volleyball program. Miss Esler has extensive experience playing at a high level and is able to play multiple positions along the net. This kind of versatility will showcase well for her to college coaches and our scouts. Nicknamed Scary Mary, her offensive output will show you why. She can really bring some heat with her attacks. When she runs the one and a half tempo out of the middle it is lights out for whoever is in left back. Miss Esler does her job very well on the defensive end and really understands timing principles. I like her attention to detail when she presses over the net to seal it away from would-be point scorers. Being able to play on the right side and hit a high tempo set is proving to be very valuable for any team. Mary is capable of allowing the ball to cross over her shoulder and still attack aggressively. I am very intrigued to watch her in person and compete against the top competition that is scheduled to attend.
