Class 3
Class 3 started us off with defending champions Blair Oaks taking out Pleasant Hill 25-18, 25-16, and 25-15. Blair Oaks was led in its attack on the Chicks by Bailey Braun Bailey Braun 5'10" | OH Blair Oaks | 2024 State MO with 11 kills on a .333%, Autumn Bax Autumn Bax 5'11" | RS Blair Oaks | 2024 State #188 Nation MO finished with eight as well as Gabby Horn Gabby Horn 5'10" | OH Blair Oaks | 2025 State MO . Amber Samson carried the defense with her 11 digs and Libby Juergensmeyer Libby Juergensmeyer 5'7" | S Blair Oaks | 2024 State MO dished out 27 assists.
In the other semifinal match Ursuline Academy took on Clever. Ursuline is young and talented something having 5 2026 players on the court. The Bears put Clever away with a 25-20, 25-10, 26-24 win. Ursuline used its serving game to take Clever out of its offense severing 14 aces in the match. 2026 Jillian Raterman Jillian Raterman 5'9" | OH Ursuline Academy | 2026 State MO hit .438 with 15 kills and only 1 error. 2026 Addyson Gresham Addyson Gresham 5'5" | DS/L Ursuline | 2026 State MO finished six aces, three kills, and eight digs. 2026 Elizabeth Koenig Elizabeth Koenig 5'7" | S Ursuline | 2026 State MO and Lucy Ellsworth Lucy Ellsworth 5'7" | S Ursuline | 2026 State MO ran the 6-2 offense combining for 34 assists in the win putting them in the finals against Blair Oaks.
Class 3 third place match Pleasant Hill would hold off Clever getting 13 kills from Gabriela Hanes Gabriela Hanes S Pleasant Hill | 2024 State MO and 14 from Abygail Widhalm Abygail Widhalm 5'10" | OH Pleasant Hill | 2024 State MO 14 kills and 16 digs. The final score 25-20, 25-21, and 25-20 win for the Chicks as they would finish the season with a 21-10-1 record. Clever had a fantastic season ending 31-7-3 for 4th place.
Class 4
Class 4 had some of the best volleyball on the day as Incarnate Word had to go 4 with St. Michael taking a 25-20, 25-15, 18-25, 25-18 win to move into the championship match for the second year in a row. The Red Knights received 36 kills between Tara Greenberry Tara Greenberry 6'3" | MB Incarnate Word | 2025 State #117 Nation MO and Ellie Witthaus Ellie Witthaus 5'10" | OH Incarnate Word | 2025 State MO . The defense was on fire for IWA as the team collected 67 digs in the match with Abby Freund Abby Freund 5'5" | DS/L Incarnate Word Academy | 2024 State MO getting 20, Ally Fuchs Ally Fuchs 5'5" | DS/L Incarnate Word | 2025 State MO having eight, and Ella Von Almen ending with nine.
The other semifinal was the match of the day as St. Pius X needed 5 to hold off Jefferson City 25-18, 25-27, 25-19, 23-25, 15-12. St. Pius is another young and talented team with bombers all over the court. Hannah Leftridge Hannah Leftridge 5'10" | OH St. Pius X (Festus) | 2025 State MO put down 24 kills Bennett Raterman Bennett Raterman 6'4" | MB St. Pius X (Festus) | 2026 State MO finished with 20 kills and six blocks, and Anne Makowski Anne Makowski 6'0" | OH St. Pius X (Festus) | 2025 State MO added 14 int secure a berth in the title match against Incarnate Word.
Class 4 3rd Place went to Jefferson City over St. Michael. 23-25, 25-18, 25-18, 25-19 as opposite Madilynn Mitchell Madilynn Mitchell 5'10" | RS Jefferson City | 2025 State MO and Nola Borgmeyer Nola Borgmeyer 5'7" | OH Jefferson City | 2025 State MO carried the offense. Jefferson City finished the season at 25-10 and St. Michael finished 27-7.
Class 5
Class 5 was a little more anticlimactic as both semis were in sweeps. A rematch of last year’s title match would prove Lafayette is back and on a mission for a repeat of last year as they knocked Kickapoo out 25-19, 25-12, 25-22. The Witherspoon sisters Maya and Shaye finished with 26 total kills.
Francis Howell made it an all-Saint Louis final as they stormed the Titans with a 25-19, 25-22, 25-23 win. Danielle Moore Danielle Moore 6'2" | RS Francis Howell | 2025 State MO carried the Vikings with 17 kills while Ella Kloepper Ella Kloepper 5'9" | RS Francis Howell | 2024 State MO finished with 14. Avery Helms Avery Helms 5'8" | DS/L Francis Howell | 2025 State MO held the defense down tallying 22 digs. Setters Morgan Christine Dumm Morgan Christine Dumm 5'11" | S Francis Howell | 2025 State MO and Mia Wilson ran the offense to perfection combining for 34 digs to send the Vikings to the championship against Lafayette.
Class 5 3rd place had Lee’s Summit West take on Kickapoo. I unfortunately left and at the time of this article, no result has been received.
