Kendall Barnhart, Sr. OH Fremont
Fremont had to grind out a five-set win over Muskegon Oakridge in a Division 2 district final, and Barnhart was a big contributor in all phases. Along with 15 kills to lead the offense, Barnhart came through with timely digs and served the ball well.
Chloe Lawrason, Sr. S Gladwin
Lawrason ran a really smooth offense with a lot of balance in a sweep of Chippewa Hills. Gladwin had two outsides lead the way with nine kills each, while the middles were regularly part of the offense as well. Lawrason also added 13 digs to go with her setting, playing a balanced match.
Kalli Lewkowski, Sr. OH/MH Spring Lake
Spring Lake swept Allendale in its district final, but it was a competitive contest. Lewkowski raised her game, putting down 16 kills to lead the Spring Lake offense. She placed the ball very well and delivered with consistent power.
Courtney Pelon Courtney Pelon 5'5" | DS/L St. Catherine | 2024 State MI , OH St. Catherine
In a thrilling five-set match, Pelon came through with 20 kills and a standout defensive performance to lead to SCA to the victory over Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard. Pelon has top-level defensive skills, but has been a key offensive piece for SCA as well.
Kate Reising, Sr. OH Divine Child
Reising helped lead Divine Child to a sweep of Garden City in their Division 2 district final. The senior tallied 15 kills and was in on some blocks as well. She was very consistent in her swing and delivery and Garden City had no answer.
Emma Tuttle, Sr. OH West Catholic
The West Catholic offense looked really sharp in a four-set win over Kent City in their D2 regional final. Tuttle looked strongest of all, as she put down 17 kills in the victory. Tuttle also contributed a few blocks along the way.
Maddy Vaara, Sr. OH Ludington
Vaara continued her dominant 2023 season by leading the Orioles to a sweep of Big Rapids in their D2 district final. Vaara recorded 19 kills while hitting .594 in the process. She also had 13 digs, one block and one ace.
Malea Wourman, Jr. OH Milan
The Big Reds picked up a sweep of Adrian in their district final and Wourman put together a nice performance, hitting efficiently for 13 kills while also adding in a pair of blocks.
