Ashby Zubchevich Ashby Zubchevich 6’0″ | OH La Canada | 2025 State CA is one of my favorite people to play with. She is insane and is only a junior. Her arm swing is so fast, and she is a very consistent player. Her hitting amazes me every time she goes up for a ball. I love celebrating her especially after setting her out of system. I can’t wait to watch her kill it during her club season.

Haley Clark Haley Clark 5’11” | RS La Canada | 2024 State #177 Nation CA is a huge factor in our success this year. She brings so much to our team not only on offense but also on defense. She has stepped up to a position that she doesn’t usually play. She has such a high volleyball IQ and always finds the open spots on the court.
Tatum Purdy Tatum Purdy 5’7″ | S La Canada | 2024 State CA is the best teammate to play with. She is always hyping everyone up and always has a smile on her face. She is an incredible setter and always knows the best matchup for the hitters to get a kill. We would not be the same team without Tatum.

Emma Reed has brought a lot to our team this year. She has fire and jumps through the roof. She also has a very calming presence on the court. Whenever I am nervous, I know I can always look to her to calm me down. She is the best teammate on and off of the court. Her cheers are the best I have ever heard, and I love celebrating her blocks!

Vani Tatoulian has developed so much these last two years. She is only a sophomore and is incredibly good. She can make anyone on the team laugh and is always making jokes. Her blocks are insane, and I love being on the court with her. I can’t wait to watch her develop even more her last two years.

Maya Purdy is a fierce competitor. She is always willing to do what’s best for the team. She has an incredible serve that has helped her a lot this year. Especially in tight matches she gets the other team out of system which helps us on defense. She is only a freshman and I can’t wait to see how much she develops in the future.

Having had the honor of witnessing Chloe Nussbaum Chloe Nussbaum 5’9″ | DS/L La Canada | 2024 State CA play live was a highlight of the high school season for me. As previously published, Chloe approaches every play with relentless determination and an infectious energy that resonates. Her talent in preventing any ball from hitting the ground is truly remarkable. She excels as an exceptional court communicator.
In a conversation with Chloe about her athletic identity, she described herself as passionate, motivated, and brimming with energy. She takes pride in being the perpetual cheerleader for her teammates, always offering unwavering support when they need it most. Recognizing volleyball as a game fraught with mistakes, she underscores the importance of swiftly bouncing back after an error. Her drive is anchored in aspiring to be the finest version of herself and an exceptional teammate.
Chloe’s success in reaching such a significant milestone is just the beginning. She remains aware that every remarkable athlete must continually strive for improvement. Presently, she focuses on honing her skills in right-side hitting down the line and maintaining discipline with her platform.
