Kansas Class of 2024 Pace Setters: Part Two

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As promised here is part two of a report on setters in the class of 2024 in Kansas, who finished among the state leaders in assists, and who I was unable to see play in person this fall.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Each of these setters finished with more than 700 assists for their respective teams during their senior seasons.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Hannah Coumerilh, </strong>5'8”, S/DS, Goodland, ‘24</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In 100 sets played Coumerilh racked up 786 assists. She is also a solid defensive player who finished with 190 digs during her senior season. She also has a solid tip-game which accounted for 54 kills.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Kylan Turnipseed, </strong>5'7”, S/DS, Ellsworth, ‘24</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>During her senior campaign, Turnipseed finished with 782 assists in 82 sets played for the Bearcats. She also has a nice serve, accounting for 26 aces. The Bearcat senior was also accurate with her serve as she had a 95.3 serving percentage.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='495645' first='Ellie' last='Suber'], </strong>5'10”, S, Eudora, ‘24</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Suber is a highly skilled athlete who filled up her stat sheet in 2023. She finished with a team-high 765 assists for the Cardinals but also added 81 kills, 216 digs, and 24 total blocks.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Kyndol Gray</strong>, 5'7”, S, Perry-Lecompton, ‘24</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Gray has solid setting technique and good hands. She finished with 758 assists in 85 sets played. She also added to her stat line 153 digs, 56 kills, and 39 total blocks.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Tambryn Watson, </strong>5'6”, S/OPP, Bennington, ‘24</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Watson understands how to run an offense. She collected 748 assists in 85 sets played for Bennington. She also is a solid defender as she finished with 285 digs in her senior campaign.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Rylee Haresnape, </strong>5'5”, S, Norton, ‘24</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>During the 2023 season, Haresnape finished with 722 assists in 76 sets played for the Bluejays. She also had 154 digs during her senior season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
