Signing Day 2023: Part II

Grace Schmedding Grace Schmedding 6'0" | OH Heritage Christian Academy | 2024 State KS – Heritage Christian > Fort Hays State

Another multi-state champion, Schmedding will take her game west to Fort Hays State. She eclipsed the 300-kill mark this season, finishing second on the team in this category from the pin.

Ava Anderson Ava Anderson 6'0" | RS Bishop Miege | 2024 KS – Lee’s Summit West > Mississippi State

Anderson will join the SEC, heading to Mississippis State for the fall of 24′. She was instrumental in the final four run for Lee’s Summit West that ended in a third-place finish in Missouri Class 5.

Ryanne Wattree Ryanne Wattree 5'10" | RS Lees Summit West | 2024 State MO – Lee’s Summit West > Kansas City

Wattree will stay home to compete for Kansas City (UMKC) next fall. The springy pin averaged around 2 kills per set in her final season.

Fiona Van Dyke – Lawrence Free State > Manhattan

The Free State senior saved one of her best seasons for last. She will head to New York to play for Manhattan College.

Collette Buschhorn Collette Buschhorn 5'8" | S Central | 2024 State MO – Glendale > Kansas City

The season got started a little late for Coco but when it did, she came ready to play. Buschhorn will join the above mentioned Wattree by leaving Glendale to play for the Roos of Kansas City.

Bella Faria Bella Faria 5'10" | OH Kickapoo | 2024 State MO – Kickapoo > Arizona State

Faria had another elite season in helping Kickapoo to another final four and earning a fourth-place finish in Class 5. She finished her high school career with 1002 kills and will attend Arizona State University.

Kya Johnson Kya Johnson DS/L Kickapoo | 2024 State MO – Kickapoo > Missouri State

Johnson will stay home and compete for the Bears of Missouri State in the fall of 2024. Johnson was another key component to consecutive final four appearances for Kickapoo.

Emmy Sher Emmy Sher 5'8" | DS/L Olathe Northwest | 2024 State KS – Olathe Northwest > Indiana State

Over 1,000 digs in her career, Sher was key for the multiple state tournament appearances for the Ravens. She will play her collegiate ball and study at Indiana State.

Jacy Bray – Nixa > University of Texas at Arlington

The Nixa stand out will head deep to the heart of Texas, Arlington specifically after signing her national letter of intent. The AVCA honorable mention all-american setter had over 900 assists in her senior year.

Ava Owens – Nixa > Washburn

Owens had a strong final year that ends with signing to play at Washburn in Topeka, Kansas. The Nixa middle led the team in kills.

Jillian Huckabey Jillian Huckabey 6'0" | OH Olathe Northwest | 2024 State #74 Nation KS Olathe Northwest > Florida International

Huckabey has been huge for Olathe Northwest since her freshman year, teaming up with Skyler Pierce Skyler Pierce 6'3" | OH Olathe Northwest | 2024 State #4 Nation KS to form one of the better one-two combos in the state. She will head to the sunshine state to play at Florida International.

Nina Mitchell Nina Mitchell 6'2" | MB Wichita Northwest | 2024 State KS – Wichita Northwest > George Mason

The Wichita native will head out east to play for George Mason in Virginia. Mitchell was steady in her high school career. A late bloomer to the game, she went from 55 kills as a sophomore to 262 as a senior.

Holland Guilliams Holland Guilliams 5'5" | DS/L Jackson | 2024 State MO – Jackson > Southeast Missouri

The Jackson product will head to the corner of the state to play for Southeast Missouri. She was the top back row defender for Jackson with close to 400 digs.

Jacey Young Jacey Young 6'2" | MB Marquette | 2024 State MO – Marquette> Southeast Missouri

The Marquette player will stay in the state of Missouri by heading south to Southeast Missouri next fall.

Sammi Bergjans Sammi Bergjans 5'9" | S Incarnate Word Academy | 2024 State MO – Incarnate Word > Mercer

Fresh off of a state championship, Bergjans sealed an exciting year by signing to play for Mercer in the coming years. The setter had 34 assists in the state final match.

Hope Duncan Hope Duncan 5'8" | DS/L Smoky Valley | 2024 State KS – Smoke Valley > Fort Hays State

The Smoke Valley baller will stay in the state of Kansas by heading to Hays to play for Fort Hays State. She helped lead her squad to a Class 3A runner-up finish a couple of weeks ago.

Jada Ingram Jada Ingram 5'11" | MB Washburn Rural | 2024 State #61 Nation KS – Washburn Rural > UNLV

The 2022 state champion, Ingram will head to Las Vegas to play her collegiate ball.

Kelsey Schenck Kelsey Schenck 5'11" | S St. Thomas Aquinas | 2024 State KS – St. Thomas Aquinas > Lipscomb

Lipscomb is getting a talented player in 2022 state champion Schenck. One of the top setters in Kansas City, she helped her team return to the state title match this fall.

Tatum Grimes Tatum Grimes 6'2" | MB St. Thomas Aquinas | 2024 State #184 Nation KS – St. Thomas Aquinas > Army

One of the more efficient middles in the state, Grimes will take her talents to West Point to play for Army.
