Many players shined during the competitive matches in the division with a very strong class of 2024 and 2025.
Charlotte Thompson Charlotte Thompson 5'11" | OH Tampa Catholic | 2025 State FL #1 – 5’10” – OH / RS – Class 2025 – Tampa United VBA 17 Black
Charlotte is an efficient outside attacker and backrow defender. Her consistency attacking the ball from both pins helps the team to successfully finish at the top of the division. She has a strong approach attacking the ball with an arm swing that can pass the ball thru the block. Charlotte was able to place the ball in critical spots in the opponent court to score crucial points. In addition to her offensive contribution, she was a key factor defensively stopping the opponent at the net throughout the tournament.
Pamela De Jesus #2 – 5’10” – OH / DS – Class 2024 – Tampa United VBA 17 Black
One of the most consistence outside hitters of the tournament. She has a powerful approach attacking the ball for the left side. Pamela was able to score the majority of her team points in the most crucial moments of the tournaments. She is certainly a key offensive player with a good volleyball knowledge. Her contribution to the offensive and the backrow offense was an invaluable for the team’s success.
Kellyanne Wylie #11 – 6’0″ – Setter – Class 2025 – St. Pete Volleyball Club 17 Teal
Kellyanne is a lefty setter that can run a 5-1 rotation without any hesitation. She has a great understanding of the team offensive capabilities. She continuously placed the ball in the right areas making it easy for the attackers to finish each play. Her heigh is an advantage at the net, her presence and blocking ability make it difficult for the opponents to pass the ball over the net.
Amelia Langelier #4 – 5’10” – MB / OH / RS – Class 2024 – St. Pete Volleyball Club 18 Teal
Amelia is a versatile middle player that have a strong middle attack and can effectively run a slide. During all the matches, she was engaged in the middle offensively and defensively. Her communication with the setter maintained a great flow in attacking options during the matches. Amelia, transition from pin to pin shows a great ability running the net resulting in numerous blocking opportunities in important moments of the semifinal match.
Claire Titus #14 – 6’0″ – MB – Class 2024 – Tampa United VBA 18 Black
Claire was the silent killer during the team matches. A quiet player with an invaluable height and sturdy arm swing that resulted in some very impressive kills. She has a tremendous footwork moving across the net to stop the opponent attacks. Her transition on and off the net was very impressive displaying a great potential for this young player.
