What coach wouldn’t love a 6’2” opposite who is a powerful attacker and a shutdown blocker? Delaney is a force on the right pin and has the next level written all over her. She would finish with 169 kills and 7th among Class 4 2027 kill leaders. Seriously keep an eye out for Delaney.
Kate Sherry Kate Sherry 5'11" | OH St. Pius X Festus | 2027 MO – 5’10” – Opposite – St. Pius X (Festus)
One of my favorite freshmen I watched play this year. If not sitting behind two tremendous outsides she would be fierce on the left pin. The opposite gave the Lancers a big block and a powerful attacker. She has the fire to become another Lancer great.
Madelyn Schaefer Madelyn Schaefer 5'6" | OH Parkway Central | 2027 MO – 5’7” – Opposite – Parkway Central
With the emergence of Madelyn for the Colts she provided her team with a trio of talented pin hitters. The newbie finished the year with 179 kills and led the team in blocks with 37. Watch her numbers soar next year when she is moved to the outside position.
Rylee Dodson – 5’7” – Outside – Rolla
Rylee was the kill leader for the Bulldogs in her first season finishing with 156 and was 2nd on the team in digs with 204. She is a quick outside with a big approach and a high volleyball IQ. Rylee will be a major force on the left pin for Rolla during her career.
Leah Heisler Leah Heisler 5'8" | OH Jefferson City | 2027 MO – 5’8” – Outside – Jefferson City
Heisler has a couple of mentors on her team that she can learn from. Leah had a monster final four for the Jays as she would finish with career high in kills in the semifinal with 8. In the 3rd place match, she crushed that career high and finished with 13 to help her team win the 3rd place match. I can’t wait to see what she can do next season.
