We have been watching the 2025 class very closely throughout the entire high school and new club season. A lot of the analysis has come from watching these players in person and also by watching the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone’s recruiting profiles. We have been talking to a lot of coaches across the country and this class is littered with college prospects. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be listed in the rankings due to their individual performances.
Morgan Graves Morgan Graves 5'10" | OH Don Antonio Lugo | 2025 State CA [2025] 5-10 Outside (HS: Don Lugo/Club: Rancho Valley VBC/Verbal: San Jose State University)
Please officially welcome Miss Graves to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 28th best overall player according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays at Don Lugo High School and for the Rancho Valley volleyball club program. I have watched Morgan play for the last few years and she has wowed me with her growth in the left side pin position. Her overall level of paly is astounding as she has enormous upside in what she brings to a squad. Recently she committed to playing volleyball at San Jose State University and in my opinion, they got a steal of a player who will pay dividends from the moment she steps foot on campus. Her explosiveness happens in every aspect of the game and everyone around her court hears when she makes contact with the ball. I love watching her attack because she puts every ounce of herself into creating momentum with her approach and then unleashes that power into the ball. I almost feel sorry for the ball when she makes contact with it because of the loud pop her hand makes. She is a very gifted young lady and we are very proud to have her listed in our rankings. Please help us congratulate her on her achievement of being listed amongst the great players of this state.
Leyna Nguyen Leyna Nguyen 5'8" | OH Archbishop Mitty | 2025 State CA [2025] 5-8 Outside (HS: Archbishop Mitty/Club: Vision Volleyball/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please officially welcome Miss Nguyen to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 32nd best overall player according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays at Archbishop Mitty High School and for the awesome Vision volleyball club program. Leyna is a very electric pin attacker who is capable of scoring on anyone. Please do not sleep on this young lady because of her height. If you make that mistake, she will make you pay big time. I was introduced to her at last season’s Triple Crown NIT tournament as I was walking toward another court. I glanced over and saw this smaller outside absolutely crush a ball down the line, so I had to stop and watch. I never made it to the other court with what I was able to witness. This young lady is a true show-stopper and deserves a chance to play at the next level. She was born to play the game of volleyball and anyone who watches her for just a few minutes can see that from her production. If she were four inches taller or more, she would be one of the greatest recruits in the state. I strongly encourage college coaches to watch her play this club season and you will see greatness as I did. Please help us congratulate her on earning a spot in our prestigious State Rankings.
Helen Beary Helen Beary 6'1" | S JSerra | 2025 State CA [2025] 6-1 Setter (HS: JSerra/Club: Wave Volleyball/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please officially welcome Helen to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 39th best overall player according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays at JSerra High School and for the Wave volleyball club program. Miss Beary is a prototypical setter that all college coaches dream of having on their roster. While her size will definitely draw much attention, scouts will ultimately stay on her court due to her high-level skills. When she jump sets, defenders have to account for her as an attacker, because if they don’t she will make them pay. This is what makes her extremely tough to game-plan for. If you do jump with her as she jump-sets, and she delivers the ball to a pin, they will ultimately have a one on one situation or a big split in the block. I loved watching her film and admiring her picturesque jump setting technique. She has the same exact contact point above her head for each setting attempt and that shows a lot about her training/coachability. Did I mention that she is an elite attacker also? Well this is why, in my expert opinion, she is primed to move up the rankings when I update them again. The versatility of being an elite two-way player will help her get recruited very soon by many schools. In the meantime, please help us congratulate her on earning a spot in our prestigious State Rankings.
