Abigail had a good showing on the more. You love disciplined defenders and you get that with her in the back row. She produces a solid platform and has what I call a quick first step and shows good foot speed. She moved very well laterally and made good plays.

I have a couple of names in my program for this dynamic player. Chanya and Ali is what I have listed as the second name was a write-in. I enjoyed watching her in action and was impressed with how low she got her base to pass the ball. Another bonus, she’s vocal on the court which is what you want in someone moving around the back row.
Fenemore is really good! I caught a couple of her touches on some heat and caught myself saying, “wow”. Her floor awareness sets her apart and she will have many options in the future due to her volleyball IQ. Another area she stood out was with her second ball sets when the setter was out. The ones I witnessed, she was flawless.
Dye is a high-energy player who doesn’t let up on any play. She hustles after balls and had many good ups on plays I thought was hitting the floor. Her ability to read the attack allowed her to be in position for many attacks coming her way and successfully earn dig after dig.

Nash is another defender who I thought anticipated what the hitter was going to do with a high-level of confidence. She also displayed strong hands, which came into play as balls came towards her head. She was able to pass those balls to location to the setter with ease.
