After hosting events in San Antonio and Dallas, the Top 250 Expo came to Houston and the Competitive Edge Sports facility, the home of famed club TAV Houston , was the location where around 80 prospects from several regions in the state, including Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and Austin, reunited for a fun morning.
Prep Dig Scouting Director Michael DeLeon and I were in attendance, taking a good look at everyone on the court, and will share our findings over the next few days. In today’s article, I’ll feature the liberos who were rock solid on Saturday:
Gibbs was among the most impressive defensive players on the court on Saturday. She’s extremely sound from a technical standpoint and is always very active on the backcourt, be it when playing defense or in serve-receive. Her ball control is excellent and allowed her to make some impressive plays. There’s a lot to like about her personality on the court too as she gets to be vocal and communicative as a libero should, but at the same time manages to remain calm and focused on the task ahead.

Kiliddjian was electric on the court from the very first drill until the end. There wasn’t a single person at the gym who didn’t hear her voice while she communicated and cheered on her teammates or when she celebrated a point won by her teammates in the match-like drills. Besides having great energy on the court, she also displayed great effort on the court, fighting for every point and believing she could get to every ball. She’s a technical libero, who also has excellent reflexes and is really quick with her movement.
Adamek was really impressive on the backcourt, especially when playing defense. Her reflexes were what caught my attention as I saw her make some really amazing digs off of tips or balls that were deleted off the block. She moved really well on the back and displayed an interesting ability to play in the middle and the left back positions. A tall libero, Adamek also played up at the net on some match-like drills and held her own there.
Hargy stands out for how focused and determined she is on the court. She’s not as vocal and loud as other liberos, but quietly gets the job done with her hard work and high volleyball IQ. Her contact with the ball is always very clean and she’s always willing to go the extra mile to make sure she’ll be able to send the where she’s supposed to. Besides producing well, Hargy also transmits a lot of confidence and stability to her teammates with her calm demeanor on the court.
