PD Top 250 Expo: Super Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Prepdig Ohio Top 250 Expo was amazing this past weekend! There were outstanding players from all over Ohio that showed up and showed off their skill and talent. It was nice to see so many talented athletes all in one place. Though they were all talented in their own ways, there were just some that stood out above everyone else. Those are the types of players that you just can't stop watching. The following players caught our eye and for that, they made our Super Standout list.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Super Standouts </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Molly Robertson </strong>- <em>Setter / Revolution Volleyball Club</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Molly stood out for me in the setting position because she had great footwork and vision on the court. She had a very quick first step, which allowed her to get her feet to the ball and put up a beautiful ball for her hitters. She had great energy on the court and you could tell that she loved the competition aspect of the game, it was all over her face.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='227804' first='Mia' last='Scanlon'] </strong>- <em>OH / CVC</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mia showed a ton of grit during the game play drills and was dominant with her fast arm whip, generating massive power behind the ball. What I really liked about this player was that she was able to mover her shot around and found multiple ways to score. Athleticism plus a high court IQ equals a very dangerous player. What she lacked in height, she made up for in sheer athleticism. Very fun to watch and I can't wait to see what she accomplishes this club season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='232701' first='Emerson' last='Spiesz']</strong> -<em> DS/Libero / AVC</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Emerson is an all in, no quit type of player with amazing ball control. She had a super solid platform and her passes were right to target, making it easy for her team to stay in system during the game play drills. Defensively, I loved watching her pursue the ball, without reguard for her body, she did whatever she needed to do to keep the ball of the floor. One of the most energetic and fun players in the building!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='397266' first='Olivia' last='Curry']</strong> -<em> RS / Next Volleyball</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Easily one of the most skilled athletes on the positional courts and during game play drills. Her ability to work the entire net, blocking and hitting was amazing to watch. She had a very high celling and was able to contact the ball way above the tape making her a dangerous player on both sides of the ball. She had great work ethic and was always hustling, a trait that a lot of scouts really admire. I am sure she will continue to make her presence known as we go into the cub season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Regan Hill</strong> - <em>RS / East Coast Power</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hill was one of the most athletic right sides I saw this past weekend. She was able to place her shots just right making it easy to score. During positional drills she clearly stood out, powerful, fast and smart, she got off the ground quick generating some heat behind her arm swing. With great hand to ball contact, you could hear the crack on the ball as she powered through her swing. She really gave the DS/Liberos a workout with the variety of tips and full on swings that she had in her arsenal.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
