With close to 40 prospects on display, there were a lot of good players to evaluate.
Here’s the fourth and final part of our 2026 player evaluations.
Kimora Smith Kimora Smith 5'7" | MB Arbor Prep | 2026 State MI , MH Arbor Prep/Hurricanes
Smith didn’t have the length of some of her middle peers, but she found ways to be very effective with her shot selection and court awareness. She didn’t need a lot of space to put a powerful swing past the blockers and she also had a nice mix of offspeed swings that challenged the defense.
McCoy Turner, OH Mercy/Team D
Turner has shown the ability to play the middle or the outside in the past and she’s a well-coached player with a good technical skillset. She stayed patient at the net and adjusted to her sets well as opposed to trying to force a power swing on each attempt. When she got a clean look, she put it home with a lot of authority.
Evelyn Watts Evelyn Watts 5'8" | OH Berkley | 2026 MI , OH Berkley/Michigan Elite
Watts is only listed at 5’8” but she plays much longer at the net. She’s got a good feel for the ball and gets to the high point to make the most of her swing attempts. That also helps her on defense, as she’s able to cover a lot of space quickly and still get an arm under the ball to keep a rally alive. There’s a lot of good all-around ability out of Watts. She looks like a prospect that can take her game up another level in the next year.
Victoria Weingartz Victoria Weingartz 5'7" | DS/L Romeo | 2026 MI , DS/L Romeo/Monsters
Weingartz has a great foundation for her game. She’s a good communicator on the floor and isn’t afraid to take control. She’s willing to go for the ball and not just wait for it to come to her. Weingartz is able to get low and make a smooth pass against some of the tough serves. Her quick impulses are usually correct.
Elizabeth White Elizabeth White 5'4" | DS/L Saline | 2026 State MI , DS/L Saline/Team D
White was one of the smoothest defenders at this Expo. She was locked in on her serve receive and looked like she was on a loop with how consistently she was able to place her passes. White looked comfortable leading the way and being vocal on the floor as well. On top of all that, White mixed up her serves and had some impressive aces.
Madolyne Winowski Madolyne Winowski 5'10" | S Oxford | 2026 State MI , S Oxford/High Performance
Winowski is a left-handed setter that is approaching 6-feet, which makes her a great asset right off the bat. Winowski looks comfortable being in charge without having to be overbearing. She’s got good control of the offense with her smooth setting ability. She’s also got a swing that can really challenge defenders. Winowski is a S/RS prospect that has a high ceiling.
Jayla Zayti Jayla Zayti 6'0" | MB Marian | 2026 State MI , MH Marian/Michigan Elite
Zayti had an argument for being the top middle at the showcase. Coming off a big prep season with Marian, Zayti looks ready to build on that in club season. Her attack angles were as sharp as anyone’s at the Expo. She could really get on top of the ball and put it down just feet in front of her with smoke still coming off of it. Once Zayti got rolling with her swings, there was no stopping her.
Annie Zellen Annie Zellen 5'9" | OH Stoney Creek | 2026 MI , OH Stoney Creek/Legacy
Zellen isn’t going to be the tallest jumper, she’s not going to be the most explosive on the court, but she is going to be one of the most efficient and smartest. Zellen is very consistent with her power swing, placing the ball in good spots and avoiding attack errors. However, her offspeed game is at a high level and consistently fools the defense. Not to mention, she’s got a lot of strong aspects to her defensive play, making her a great leader on the court.
