Top Setters from Top 250 Expo: Minnesota Session 2

<p>The setters run the world in the game of volleyball. They determine who is going to hit and when and figure out a plan of attack for the offense. They are necessary for any game to go smoothly so let's look up who was at Session 2 of the expo today and see what sets them apart from each other and what skills they bring to the court.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Allie Hubbard</h2>   <p>Hubbard is a 5'7" senior setter from Forest Lake High School. Hubbard has great hands and a great understanding of this game. Because of this, she runs a smart offense and setting strategy. Keogh has a great platform and is quick to the ball. She digs up balls coming down from the block and can pancake well. Schuele has a great platform and can a lot of speed off of a fast-moving ball when she receives it making it easier to control for her hitters. This athlete never gives up and never slows down. She also has great saves!</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Lucy Charon</h2>   <p>Charon is a 5'9" junior setter from Minneapolis Southwest High School. Charon was a very quick setter and spread the ball around well. She is very accurate and so consistent you could set a clock by her. She was fun to watch partially because she was so successful on the court but also because she had such good skills.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='285260' first='Catalina' last='Connell']</h2>   <p>Connell is a 5'10" junior setter from Prior Lake High School. Connell is long and lean and has a reach that could extend to the roof. She has great hands and a great block. She is very effective in setting all of her hitters in the front or back rows. She has a great platform and is a pleasure to watch hone her craft. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Halee Fuse</h2>   <p>Fuse is a 5'7" junior setter from Eastview High School. Fuse has nice hands, really moves the ball around, and utilizes all of her hitters. She is also a nice option to have as a hitter. Her serve/receive is good and she is an excellent server. She was an effective leader for her team at the expo.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Jaylin Lillquist</h2>   <p>Lillquist is a 5'8" junior setter from Sebeka High School. Lillquist has a great touch on the ball and makes good choices on where to set her hitters. She has great parity and spreads the ball around to give her hitters space when hitting at the net. She has great control of the ball and can serve/receive, hit, and serve as well as set.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Ella Maslowski</h2>   <p>Maslowski is a 5'6" setter from Cloquet High School's junior class. Maslowski has a lot of power that she must control in her hands when setting. She does it beautifully and very well. She has great parity and can go from one end of the court to the other with ease and accuracy. She is an impressive setter as well as a defensive specialist.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Tatum Olson</h2>   <p>Olson is a 5'6" junior setter from Annandale High School. Olson is a strong athlete with great accuracy while setting. She can run an offense with great vision. She is very aware of her opponent's court and knows when she can dump the ball over for a point. Strege has long hands that enable her to make plays other athletes cannot make. She blocks well and is very strong so she can move the ball from anywhere received on the court to a hitter across the court. She has a great platform and moves the ball around with ease. She has a very good awareness of her opponent's court and dumps at the best times. </p>
