Prospects develop at different rates, and some may have been playing behind established upperclassmen during high school, effectively staying “under the radar”. The players listed here are several of a large group of first-time entries into the 2025 Washington rankings.
McCraw has an advanced feel for scoring- she has the confidence to attack the block or locate an off-speed shot to the corner or the middle of the court. The Kennedy Catholic junior has good length at 5’11, and a strong swing that creates points off hands. One of her best attributes is her work rate, McCraw is relentless getting into transition for her setter, and that keeps the offense in rolling when she is on the pin. She checks into the rankings as the #55 overall player for the class of 2025.

Powerful and beachy, the 5’7 OH was eligible in September and immediately her defense and ability to score from all over the court took the Goats play up a notch. Petersen has every shot in her bag, and the vertical to hammer the ball down when she has an open seam. She checks in as the #121 overall player in her initial entry into the rankings.
Highlights
Brustad is a First Team All-League player from Union, and the versatile 2025 prospect was at her best attacking from the right side. She takes a big swing attacking line and angle and is not afraid to play off the block and attack high hands. Brustad has the versatility to play the back row and on the outside, we expect her to have a big club season with Excel NW 18 Lux.
Karlo is a true 6-foot outside who played for Charles Wright Academy this season and will be a part of a talented PSVBA 17-Legacy squad for the 2024 club campaign. Karlo has a consistent and powerful arm swing, and she makes high solid contact attacking from the pin. She is a competitor on the court and has a well rounded game, the junior is able to step in and set a second ball and is sound in her blocking. Karlo is initially in the rankings at #138 overall, we expect that to change as she continues to work during a competitive club season.
The Enumclaw junior captured the 2A SPSL MVP after leading her team to a 15-1 record and the league title. Osborne racked up massive dig numbers for the Hornets, and the team battled their way into a berth at the 2A State Tournament. Osborne is quick to read opposing attackers and covers tips and off-speed shots with quality contacts. She checks into the rankings for the first time as the #81 player overall for 2025 prospects.
Swan makes her first appearance in the rankings as the #132 player overall. The multi-sport athlete from Colfax plays middle for the Bulldogs and has been a critical part of the teams long runs at the State Tournament over the last two seasons. A six-foot tall left hander with strength, Swan showed the ability and control this season to attack from all positions along the net and from the back row. Watching her swing from the right side and right back -Swan is a natural fit as an opposite, and her length and physicality should appeal to programs at the next level.
