On January 28, before the AFC Championship game, the Saints 17-1 and 14-1 squads practiced at Hayden High School.
Here is a report on five prospects from the 17-1 team who stood out during practice.
Cali Honeyman Cali Honeyman 5'11" | OH Nemaha Central | 2025 State KS , 5’11”, OH, Nemaha Central, ‘25
I saw Honeyman play for Nemaha Central during the high school season and her game has improved since then. She is a dangerous athletic hitter who can jump. She has a smooth approach and hammers the ball. She is still an unknown commodity since she plays for a smaller school. Honeyman will benefit from playing with the 17-1 team which will be a team that could make a run at a National Title.
Harper Dye Harper Dye 5'6" | OH Lawrence | 2025 State KS , 5’8”, DS/RS, Lawrence, ‘25
This was the first time I have seen Dye play. She is a poised player who moves well laterally. She has quick feet and makes consistent passes. She played a more significant role in the Lions attack game, but will more than likely play more of a utility player for the Saints. She is an unselfish player who enjoys playing the game.
Jo’Mhara Benning Jo’Mhara Benning 6'1" | OH Topeka High | 2025 State KS , 6’1”, OH/RS, Topeka High, ‘25
Benning is a physical and talented hitter. She has a big reach and moves well for her size. She plays with an infectious energy and is a blocking threat. Benning is also an elite softball prospect. She pitches and plays the corners for Topeka High. It is not clear which sport she prefers, but she has the talent to play either at the college level.
Kinley Wilhelm Kinley Wilhelm 5'6" | DS/L Topeka Seaman | 2025 State KS , 5’8”, L, Seaman, ‘25
Wilhelm is an interesting prospect. She played for the Class 5A State Champion Seaman Vikings and therefore knows how to lead winners. She is tall for a libero and sneaky quick. Wilhelm has the tools to be a hitter, but she is more comfortable playing back row. She also plays basketball and softball but has expressed a desire to play college volleyball.
Myiah Soderberg Myiah Soderberg 5'3" | DS/L Washburn Rural | 2025 State KS , 5’5”, DS, Washburn Rural, ‘25
Soderberg has improved since I saw her last club season. She has a nice serve and plays a mean back row. She has a quiet base and does a solid of job of moving with her feet and not reaching for the ball. She is a solid communicator who would be a solid depth addition to an NAIA program.
