Here are three clubs with two athletes each that are flying under the recruiting radar that should be a steal for those schools looking for a diamond in the rough.
Boiler Juniors 172E Black
The 2s squad in the 17s division at Boiler Juniors has its fair share of athletes from both the Lafayette area and beyond. Julia Gorenstein Julia Gorenstein 5'11" | MB West Lafayette | 2025 State IN (’25, 5-11 MB, West Lafayette) is a big and strong middle that can play either M1 or M2 at the next level. She can transition and terminate from both in front of and behind the setter, has smart shots to score points and can defend from pin to pin with her strength. Audrey Butler Audrey Butler 5'5" | S Lebanon | 2025 State IN (’25, 5-5 S, Lebanon) is a setter we’ve seen at our showcases in the past. She has the athleticism to get to tight passes, locates the ball well, and always finds a good matchup for her hitters.
Circle City 17 White
I’ve spent a lot of time talking about each of the 1s teams at Circle, but very little time talking about the rest of the rosters in each graduating class. This particular roster has some size and strength at every position. Iliana Chew Iliana Chew 5'8" | S Terre Haute North | 2025 State IN (’25, 5-8 S, Terre Haute North) has also attended our showcases in the past, and has the size and speed to run a 5-1 at the next level. Sophia Dyer Sophia Dyer 5'11" | MB Whiteland | 2026 State IN (’25, 6-0 MB, Whiteland) is a multisport athlete from a non-traditional volleyball school that has a ton of upper body strength and can power through blocks with ease.
Ignite 17 Premier
From way up north in “the region”, some undersized yet highly athletic players dot this roster. Karli Klimowicz Karli Klimowicz 5'7" | OH Crown Point | 2025 State IN (’25, 5-7 OH, Crown Point) is an athletic outside that can play six rotations and is reliable in serve receive. Alex Lecea Alex Lecea 5'10" | OH Hanover Central | 2025 State IN (’25, 5-10 Ath, Hanover Central) is a hybrid three-rotation front row player that has the size and strength to play middle, while having the jumping ability to attack from the pins. Her best recruiting attribute is her ability to terminate from anywhere in the front row.
