It’s one of the biggest weekends of the year in club volleyball.
With Triple Crown this weekend, not only does this bring the best of the best to one tournament, but it marks the end of the quiet period for Division I Recruiting. All of the stars will be out!
Triple Crown brings out the best in everyone. And Michigan is bringing the best that they’ve got to this one. Last year saw several teams place within the Elite Division and it looks we could see more this weekend. Let’s take a look at the top prospects coming to Triple Crown in the 15s and 16s Division.
Ella Andrews Ella Andrews 6'4" | MB Mercy | 2026 State MI – Legacy 16-1 Adidas
Ella Andrews Ella Andrews 6'4" | MB Mercy | 2026 State MI is going to be one of the hottest prospects to come onto the radar come June. At 6’4, Andrews is so much more than just a big body. Smooth on her feet along the net and in transition, Andrews offers up a huge block while remaining a constant threat in the offense. She makes up 1/2 of Legacy’s killer combo in the middle.
Kayla Nwabueze Kayla Nwabueze 6'2" | MB Bloomfield Hills | 2026 State MI – Legacy 16-1 Adidas
Completing the double threat for Legacy, Kayla Nwabueze Kayla Nwabueze 6'2" | MB Bloomfield Hills | 2026 State MI is just as spectacular in her own right. Going into the weekend, Nwabueze may have one of the fastest arms in all of KC. You blink and you miss it. Nwabueze has missiled the ball into the ground. She can back up this killer instinct with a tough block. There’s no break when it comes to these two middles.
Emma Keeping Emma Keeping 5'11" | S Imlay City | 2026 State MI – Michigan Elite 16 Mizuno
Get yourself a player that can do it all. Whether that be setting or attacking, Emma Keeping Emma Keeping 5'11" | S Imlay City | 2026 State MI can hang with the best of them in either position. In 16 Mizuno’s 6-2 system, Keeping is as much of a point scorer as she is running the offense. Having this type of player is a real treat to see live.
Reagan Lesley Reagan Lesley 5'10" | MB Chippewa Valley | 2026 State MI – Michigan Elite 16 Mizuno
Last season saw this player get a lot of action in the middle. Now, as a full time pin, Reagan Lesley Reagan Lesley 5'10" | MB Chippewa Valley | 2026 State MI has seen her game elevate incredibly. Just with one tournament under her belt this season, you can already see Lesley as a top emerging prospect. On both the left and right, Lesley was leading the way for Elite at Central Zone. Look for similar production from her in Kansas City.
Karis Chatfield Karis Chatfield 5'11" | OH Jenison | 2026 State MI – FaR Out 16 Black
In a surprise, FaR Out 16 Black is nowhere to be seen in the 16s Power Pools. Nonetheless, I wouldn’t be surprised to see them make their way into the top half of this tournament come Monday.
With the likes of Karis Chatfield Karis Chatfield 5'11" | OH Jenison | 2026 State MI on tap, who’s to say when she gets going. A standout for FaR Out a season ago, Chatfield has found another gear this fall. Chatfield has a power arm and all the shots. An effective scorer, she’s also one of the top passing pins coming to Triple Crown. Keep an eye out for her and 16 Black.
Mallory Johnson Mallory Johnson 5'6" | DS/L Byron Center | 2027 State MI – FaR Out 16 Black
Alongside Chatfield, creating one incredible defensive and passing line, Mallory Johnson Mallory Johnson 5'6" | DS/L Byron Center | 2027 State MI is a key libero to keep tabs on throughout the weekend. Playing up a division, once again, Johnson is heralded as one of the top libero prospects for the 2027 class. This is a player playing well beyond her years.
Marlie Smith Marlie Smith 5'10" | S Clarkston | 2027 State MI – Legacy 15-1 Adidas
A setter can make or break a team. When you have someone running the offense like Marlie Smith Marlie Smith 5'10" | S Clarkston | 2027 State MI , it takes quite a bit to break this team down. Stoic and strategic, Smith is running the offense like a seasoned vet as a freshman. 15 Adidas has saw themselves atop podiums already this season. I wouldn’t be shocked to see Smith lead them to another this weekend.
Calli LeFevre Calli LeFevre 5'11" | OH Marian | 2027 State MI – Legacy 15-1 Adidas
With options upon options, to be considered a go-to arm on this team means serious business. Calli LeFevre Calli LeFevre 5'11" | OH Marian | 2027 State MI has definitely cemented herself as such. Her connection with Smith is lethal. LeFevre had a huge weekend at Central Zone, labeled as MVP from several other publications. If she can continue her ways, Legacy may see themselves amongst the top at Triple Crown.
Jordyn Jones Jordyn Jones 5'8" | OH Richmond | 2027 State MI – Michigan Elite 15 Mizuno
In a world of Jill Gillens, it’s time to put some respect on the undersized powerhouses. Let me introduce you to Jordyn Jones Jordyn Jones 5'8" | OH Richmond | 2027 State MI ! In many ways, this emerging talent emulates a lot of the ways Gillen has shown to be so successful. An explosive pop, an electric arm and a great range of shots, Jones can hang and bang with the biggest of players. Don’t believe me? Just see for yourself.
Eleanor Williams Eleanor Williams 5'11" | RS Romeo | 2027 State MI – Michigan Elite 15 Mizuno
From left pin, to the right, Eleanor Williams Eleanor Williams 5'11" | RS Romeo | 2027 State MI gives 15 Mizuno some depth offensively. A lefty with a live arm, Williams is coming along quite nicely. As great she is becoming offensively, Williams is showing a nice range of back court skill as well. She can be utilized in the back row as a serious attacking option which gives this team a great balance.
