With the club season passing the halfway point, the game has been heating up with these Michigan athletes.
In their final hurrah, the class of 2024 has been putting quite the nice tail end onto their prep careers. Just before heading off to the next level, they have been putting in the work this club season.
Let’s take a look at 5 stock risers in the 2024 class.
Saige Martin Saige Martin 6'0" | MB Pewamo Westphalia | 2024 State MI – Pewamo-Westphalia/Michigan Elite
Making the jump from the track to the volleyball courts, Saige Martin Saige Martin 6'0" | MB Pewamo Westphalia | 2024 State MI has made it effortlessly. In her first and last season playing open level club, Martin made quite the statement for herself as a shut down, terminal opposite attacker. Wayne State bound in the fall, Martin poses as a huge addition to the GLIAC Title hopefuls.
Lydia Michelin Lydia Michelin 6'0" | MB Milford | 2024 State MI – Milford/Michigan Elite
Another player from that 18 Mizuno squad that has made the jump to serious open level ball, Lydia Michelin Lydia Michelin 6'0" | MB Milford | 2024 State MI has quickly become one of the toughest middles in the class. With her length and athleticism, she poses a serious threat as both a blocker and an attacker. She’s off to a Miami (OH) program that is entering a new era, one that Michelin could surely help kick start.
Jaelyn Hall Jaelyn Hall 6'1" | RS Bedford | 2024 State MI – Bedford/Premier
While Jaelyn Hall Jaelyn Hall 6'1" | RS Bedford | 2024 State MI has been a pretty known name in this class, it wasn’t until her senior campaign in both high school and club that she made the big splash. A huge presence on the right pin with her explosive hops and south paw, Hall can bring the hammer down alongside the best.
Drew Glaser Drew Glaser 6'1" | OH Edwardsburg | 2024 State MI – Edwardsburg/Krush
This player fell very heavily under the radar due to her location in the southwest portion of Michigan. Needless to say though, Drew Glaser Drew Glaser 6'1" | OH Edwardsburg | 2024 State MI has been making some serious waves towards the end of her prep career. After an All-State season with Edwardsburg, Glaser led Krush volleyball to a huge MEQ win in the 18 American division.
Holland DeVries Holland DeVries 5'10" | OH Kalamazoo Christian | 2024 State MI – Kalamazoo Christian
Another name that’s been consistently bubbling in this class, Holland DeVries Holland DeVries 5'10" | OH Kalamazoo Christian | 2024 State MI surely saved the best for last. In the fall, she was the key piece to Kalamazoo Christian’s historic, first ever state title in program history. She’s an undersized dandy with a huge punch and great control in the backcourt.
