In 2013, Triple Crown Sports met with 25 elite club directors for discussions on the world of Elite volleyball. Following this gathering, the 2014 Triple Crown Volleyball Championships unfolded in Salt Lake City, UT, featuring a total of 38 teams, among them Coast and Tstreet.
Since then, the Triple Crown has become one of the nation’s premier club volleyball tournaments, drawing top-tier teams and boasting an impressive turnout of over 500 college coaches. It serves as a platform for the crème de la crème to compete against one another, showcasing their talent and competing at the highest level.
This year, the 2024 TC NIT is scheduled for President’s Day Weekend, February 17-19, 2024, just around the corner.
In anticipation of our powerhouse California teams venturing to Kansas City, I connected with some of our top prospects to delve into their preparations for this monumental event. Their insightful responses have culminated in six articles, which I’ll be sharing over the upcoming week. May their dedication and preparations serve as inspiration for your own athletic endeavors and pursuit of achieving your goals whether they be in Kansas City or at your next local tournament.
Let’s press play on Track 2 and hear directly from the athletes…

“After playing in triple crown for the last 2 years and not being very successful, I am extremely excited for this year. With the addition of 5 new girls on the team I believe we are going to be very competitive this year. To prep for Triple Crown the team is working on trust in the defense, stamina in the weight room, and good decision making all around. I am also excited to play new teams from outside California!” Quote provided to Michelle Bamford @ PrepDig

“I can not explain how excited I am to go to triple crown again this year. My first year going was my 15’s year and was amazed by how many teams you are surrounded by. My team this year is extremely excited to go. We have been grinding in every single practice. We’re excited for this to open out way in to playing new teams around the nation and seeing new competition. As for recruiting wise, I’ll be very excited to catch up with my Biola coaches and meet new girls I’ll be playing with in college!!!” Quote provided to Michelle Bamford @ PrepDig

“I think a big component in our preparation for Triple Crown has been our overall team bonding and culture we work so hard to cultivate. Our coaches have been pushing us through mentally and physically tough practices and trainings, and our opportunity to manage these tasks as a unified group has brought our team close together like never before. There’s nothing surface level about our team, we have prepared by transforming a group of 10 volleyball players into a true family. Triple Crown is an incredible tournament that we are all so thankful to take part in. The emotion walking into the convention center is like no other. Passing each court you are embraced by an energy of hard work, determination, and love for the sport from all teams and coaches. To play against incredible athletes from around the country is such an honor and our team can’t wait!” Quote provided to Michelle Bamford @ PrepDig
