It’s time to look to the future and see what these clubs have in store for us in 2024.
Next on the list, the 15s age group. One of the top teams the country for the 15s age group, let’s take a look at Legacy 15-1 Adidas.

We’re rounding the corner to the halfway point of the 2024 club season. With some of the biggest tournaments out of the way, this 15-1 Adidas team has flexed their muscle quite often throughout. A top ten finish at Triple Crown to go with a bid-earning third place at Sunshine to a few wins at the Nike Classic and Central Zone. This group is cooking up something spicy for the second half of the season. Let’s take a look at what’s to come.
Power on the Pins
On the pins, there is a LOT to unpack here. First off, leading the way for this team as one of the main outlets is Kate Kalczynski Kate Kalczynski 6'1" | OH Mercy | 2027 State MI . A player who is coming into her own throughout her rookie yet, Kalczynski has been stepping up her game seemingly with every time she steps into the gym. She’s brought a lot of momentum in from her debut fall with Mercy where she won the Division I title and has now been leading this team in point scoring from the jump.
Alongside Kalczysnki, this group has a trio of pins who could get it down on either the left or the right. Calli LeFevre Calli LeFevre 5'11" | OH Marian | 2027 State MI has been the bringing the heat for the bulk of the season on the left pin. Consistently opposite of Kalczynski, LeFevre can bring the heat and take over a match. Sophia Smith Sophia Smith 6'2" | RS Marian | 2027 State MI is another one who has been a mainstay at the opposite position for the majority of the season. Smith is an explosive player who is coming into her own quite nicely as she develops throughout the year.
Adding to the depth on the pins, Legacy brings on a late addition to the team, Olivia Berishaj Olivia Berishaj 5'11" | MB Eisenhower | 2027 MI . Added on right before the start of the club season, Berishaj has experience playing just about anywhere along the net. After a nice debut with Utica Eisenhower in the fall as a middle, Berishaj has been used primarily as sub for the three and makes serious impact when she gets the call.
Middle Territory
Just like with their pins, the middle territory is quite dangerous to encounter. Lead by Cynthia Ockerman Cynthia Ockerman 6'3" | MB Brighton | 2027 State MI , the 6’3 dynamo has been a real powerhouse in her freshman camp. A big performer for Brighton in the fall, Ockerman has been an incredible net defender for this Legacy squad. And she is ever growing in her offensive prowess as well.
Alongside her, Samantha Monroe Samantha Monroe 6'0" | MB Bloomfield Hills Marian | 2027 MI and Brooklyn Rummler Brooklyn Rummler 6'2" | MB Stoney Creek | 2027 MI have been battling time in that M2 position. Both really solid players in their own right. Monroe may be undersized in comparison, but makes up her game with a lot of athleticism and a high IQ. For Rummler, she’s another raw product for this team that is developing quite nicely.
Deadly Defense
As this team is loaded with options for six rotation prospects, this group tacks on two key pieces to their back court machine. Addison Stepp Addison Stepp 5'8" | DS/L South Lyon East | 2027 MI and Makayla Naves Makayla Naves 5'7" | DS/L Grand Blanc | 2027 State MI return from last year’s 14s group. These two have been going back and forth all season long in the jersey. Stepp brings on a little more of a refined touch on the ball. Whereas Naves brings a lot of athleticism and dynamic nature to the back. Stepp acted as libero all season for her varsity squad, whereas Naves maneuvered from the ‘bro jersey to playing some time as six rotation outside. Both are real solid options for this group.
Setting the Pace
And finally, the player that really acts as the glue to bring this whole thing together, Marlie Smith Marlie Smith 5'10" | S Clarkston | 2027 State MI . This is a player that is playing way beyond her years, regardless of position. As a young setter, this attribute does this group wonders. After an impressive fall camp with Clarkston, leading them all the way to the Division I Final Four as a six rotation opposite and setter, she brings the winning ways to this group. Smith’s composure and IQ is what really pushes this team up another level. It’s a lot of fun to watch.
