Tribe 16 Elite Cardinal came out losing in the finals of their bracket in the 16 Open division ending with a 5-2 record. In this article I want to highlight some of the standouts from this past tournament in the class of 2026 leading up to the next rankings update.
Sydney Guerrier: S/RS (Tribe 16 Elite Navy)
Sydney is an impressive athlete that’s a versatile option for her team playing both setter and the right side position. She really excels at both positions and could easily be recruited at both positions. As a setter the most impressive attribute she shows is her rhythm and footwork at her size. At a little over 6 feet tall and physically imposing she has really light and quick feet that helps get her feet to the ball while being able to set anything she wants. As a hitter she has all of the body control and touch to execute tips and rolls while facing the opposite way. For example she can face hard angle and still get her hand and body around the ball to still tip it just outside of the block down the line. Sydney is an intriguing prospect and will definitely find herself on the rankings list.
Isabella Cox: OH (Tribe 16 Elite White)
Isabella is the traditional OH2 who is consistent on the offensive end but super impactful in serve receive and defense. Her serve receive is consistent both on film and in person because of her ability to keep her posture throughout her movements to the ball. No matter how she needs to get to the ball she stays in control and balanced before and after she passes the ball. When it comes to her offense she may not be the flashiest or the most powerful hitter but has great control of the ball. On top of the ball control she really does a fantastic job keeping her contact point high. She’s not the biggest hitter but uses all of the length and height she does have to take advantage of opposing defenses whether it’s by hitting the ball to the open spot or tooling the block. Isabella was a really solid all-around player who still has a ton of potential to grow into.
Gianna Reamer: OH (IMGA 16)
Gianna is an absolute force against anyone in the front row on both offense and defense. Her size creates issues for opposing defenses to start with but when you see that she also has a ton of power behind her swings you can see why she’s such a force. Gianna has shown the hitting range and IQ to hit on both sides of the court as well as running different tempo’s and locations along the court. Her team really relies on her anytime they are in an out of system situation because of her ability to either make the smart play or use her size and power to tool the block. I think the most impressive part of her game outside of her sheer power would have to be the control and IQ she displays on both offense and defense. I’m excited to watch Gianna grow as a player and where she ends up in the next rankings update.
Vitoria Belfort Vitoria Belfort 5'9" | DS/L Calvary Christian | 2026 FL : L (Tribe 16 Elite Cardinal)
Vitoria is the type of player that coaches rely on both mentally and physically to do their job no matter the circumstances or situation. She really is the glue-guy with her team being able to make up for open space in receive and defense. One way I evaluate or recruit libero’s is by how much leeway and responsibility her coaches ask from her on a play to play basis. Vitoria is consistently talking and adjusting seams or serve receive patterns to help put her team in the best position. Defensively her team asks a ton from her using their rotational defense to allow the libero to read the hitter in left back. No matter how you look at it her team relies on Vitoria a ton and she delivers. When it comes to her technically and her skill-set she’s up there with some of the best libero’s I have seen from her age group.
Adriana Garcia Adriana Garcia 6'0" | OH Seacrest Country Day School | 2026 FL : OH (Tribe Elite 16 Navy)
Adriana has the hitting control and variations of hitting angles that you’ll rarely be able to find for this age group. One of my favorite things to watch and find when recruiting is someone who has a naturally fast arm-swing with the requisite range to face one direction and hit another. Adriana is one of the few players I have been able to watch that makes all of her kills look easy and simple while still being an explosive hitter. Adriana is the type of player that coaches can put anywhere on the court and set them any tempo or location and she will be able to do something with it. She may not be one of the biggest or most explosive hitters you’ll see in her class, but she might just be one of if not the most dynamic in the class that I have seen so far.
Ryea Jackson: MB (IMGA 16)
Ryea might be the strongest and most physical middle hitters in the class. One of the first plays I was able to watch from this weekend was Ryea going up to block and absolutely roofing the opposing outside hitter. You’d never expect the size and athleticism combination that she has at her disposal. She may not be the cleanest or the most eye pleasing hitter but she gets the job done at a high level and has all of the potential in the world. She has the lateral quickness to close blocks on either pin, the vertical jump to hit and block high balls, and she has the overall length and size to be an absolute menace as a hitter. Her best attribute is her blocking but her offense is something that technical coaches love to be able to work with. Ryea’s coaches have a fantastic prospect that can grow into a top middle blocker in the class.
The Adidas Bluegrass tournament held in Louisville, KY was a great showing for the Florida teams competing against other top teams in the area. These six athletes were able to prove their worth both for their current teams as well as their worth to the plethora of college coaches that attended. Each of them stood out for different reasons yet all of them have the potential and the requisite skill-set to be fantastic options for college coaches.
