And just like that, we're onto Day 3 of the Big South Qualifier.

This qualifier has been the place that I have been really able to get a feel for how this rookie group is shaping up. Let me tell you, it's a pretty exciting group if you ask me. The 15 Open offers a lot of promising players with size and power.

With Day 2 in the rearview mirror, let's reminisce and take a look at some of the big guns firing off at Big South on Day 2 in the 15 Open

15 Open

Cassidy Armstrong - AZ SKy

This weekend is shaping up to be a really good one for the Arizona Sky crew. Cassidy Armstrong is running the offense for their 15s team and has them cruising along to a potential open bid. Armstrong is really promising setter in this class that showed off a real great feel for the game.

Aubrey Burns - AZ Sky

In the back court, Audrey Burns was doing some solid work for Sky. At this level, Burns was reading the game at a real high level. She was bringing up a lot of huge swings throughout the day that seemed unreturnable.

Bailey Lambert - AZ Sky

An early call, but Bailey Lambert has all the makings to be one of the top middle prospects in the class. Lengthy, quick on her feet and a powerful arm swing, Lambert was a definite focus point for this group to put the ball away.

Kendall Hubbard - Elevation

Another setter that really caught my eye, Kendall Hubbard is very much a player that needs more eyes on her. Doubling as both a setter and attacker for Elevation, she thrives in both roles. As a setter though, Hubbard has such a great touch on the ball.

Morgan Meiring - Elevation

This player is one of those silent assassin types. While Morgan Meiring may not be the loudest on the court, her play speaks volumes. A go-to attacker for Elevation, Meiring knows how to put the ball away with ease.

[player_tooltip player_id='430133' first='Natalie' last='Norton'] - Excel

I would argue Natalie Norton to be one of the most terminal attackers in the 15 Open here in Atlanta. Standing head and shoulders above her competition, it doesn't take much for her to swing well over her opposing blocks. I was even more impressed with Norton's ability to slice the ball into some nasty angles.

Kamryn Mullican - Excel

Another hybrid kids, Kamryn Mullican is a player that can get it done as both a setter and an attacker. As a lefty too, this is an exciting piece to it all.

Hunter Ross - Metro

You know you're going to be getting something physical and intense when you step onto a Metro court. That would be a great way to describe the way Hunter Ross plays. A big time presence for this group, she is a commander on the net.
