Here is the third of four planned scouring reports on Kansas Athletes who have signed with NAIA programs in the KCAC. This group included seven players, two who have signed with the Bethany Swedes and five who plan on playing for the University of Saint Mary.
Chloe Linville Chloe Linville 6'0" | MB Maize | 2024 State KS , 6’0”, MB, Maize (Bethany)
Linville is a solid blocker and attacker headed to Lindsborg for the 2024 season. She finished her senior season with 183 kills and 68 total blocks. The Maize product finished her high school career with 164 total blocks and 424 kills. She projects as a front-row-only option for the Swedes.
Brooklyn Sheetz Brooklyn Sheetz 5'8" | MB Norwich | 2024 State KS , 5’8”, DS/L, Norwich (Bethany)
Sheetz is a solid defender who recorded over 300 digs and serve receptions for the Norwich Eagles in her senior season. She will head to Bethany looking to compete for playing time. Brandi Stewart’s Bethany squad finished with a 9-19 record and is graduating five seniors.
Elise Hmielewski Elise Hmielewski 5'11" | MB Gardner-Edgerton | 2024 State KS , 5’11”, RS, Gardner-Edgerton (Saint Mary)
Hmielewski is a left-handed right-side hitter headed to Leavenworth to play for Amy Bealle’s Spires. She could fit in quickly and compete for a spot right away as the Spires will graduate a large group of attackers including their right-side hitter Rylee Kenitzer.
Addison Brooks Addison Brooks 5'10" | RS Topeka West | 2024 State KS , 5’10”, RS, Topeka West (Saint Mary)
Brooks signed fairly early with Saint Mary. She should end up competing for time as a right-side hitter against Hmielewksi. Her setter from Topeka West will be joining her on the Leavenworth campus, which could be an advantage for her to settle in quickly.
Jaya Miller Jaya Miller 5'8" | S Topeka West | 2024 State KS , 5’8”, S, Topeka West (Saint Mary)
Miller is a bouncy and quick setter who might have to wait a year or two to make a run at the starting setter position at USM. The Spires return three setters with vast varsity experience from a 21-10 team that reached the quarterfinal round of the KCAC Tournament last season.
Emma Murphy Emma Murphy 5'10" | MB Pleasant Ridge | 2024 State KS , 5’10”, MB, Pleasant Ridge (Saint Mary)
I scouted Murphy in a couple of matches last season. She can hit the ball hard when she gets on top of it. In her last season at Pleasant Ridge, she recorded 186 kills and 58 total blocks. She is strong but will need to add more upper-body strength and speed her game up a tick to make a run at a starting spot for Saint Mary.
Cerenity Seaburn Cerenity Seaburn 5'10" | OH Campus | 2024 State KS , 5’10”, OH, Campus (Saint Mary)
Seaburn has nice size and will have plenty of chances to compete for playing time. She finished her senior season at Campus with 83 kills and 32 blocks. She will more than likely be a front-row-only player for the Spires who could redshirt her first season or compete for a starting spot on the reserve team.
