It was held at the Winter Park Volleyball Club and was live streamed via BallerTV. This article series will discuss some of the players that turned the heads of the court coaches and scouts that were in attendance. Let’s see who earned the Top Performer award from the showcase.
Skyler Scott Skyler Scott 5'11" | S Cedar Ridge | 2026 TX [2026] 5-11 Setter (HS: Cedar Ridge/Club: Austin Skyline/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Skyler is currently an unranked prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but is on our official Watch List. She plays volleyball for Cedar Ridge High School and also plays club for the Austin Skyline volleyball program. When I saw her name listed on the registration page, I was super excited to see how she would fare against the competition from around the nation. She has attended a few of our showcases in Texas a few times and each time she was awarded Top Performer. The court coaches in Florida agreed as she played lights out for them also. Skylar is doing such a great job at becoming a solid setter to help everyone she plays with be better on the court. That is the sign of a great leader in my opinion. The ability to have an impact on other players is exactly what Miss Scott does as she delivers the ball to her hitters. I love that she is never afraid to volunteer for demonstrations of drills for us during the showcase and has a great ability to lead by example. In the scrimmages, I watched her compete at a very high level against some great players and it just shows how she is putting in a lot of hard work at her craft. Please help us congratulate her on earning the Top Performer award at the showcase.
Lily Sukup [2026] 5-9 Outside (HS: Goodrich/Club: 5:1 VBC/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Lily is currently ranked as the 65th best overall prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig Michigan State Rankings. She plays volleyball for Goodrich High School and also plays club for the Five:1 volleyball program. Miss Sukup wowed all of our coaches that were in attendance as she did amazing in both the positional drills and the scrimmage portion. Lilly really does a great job of using some awesome court vision to find open holes in the defense. She is a valuable attacker as her off-speed game is very vast. I saw her use a variety of weapons to score in the scrimmage portion. With this kind of hitter, it doesn’t matter where the set is located, as she will find a way to attack the ball to score. She focused on off-speed, tips, and tooling the block on both pin blockers and was extremely successful. I loved watching a young player become very versatile in the air and not just swing away blindly hoping for a great result. You can see that she processes the game very well mentally and has a high volleyball IQ. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this showcase.
Skylar Kessler [2026] 6-2 Middle (HS: Homeschool/Club: Winter Park/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Skylar is currently an unranked prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig Florida State Rankings, but definitely made a huge impression on our scouts with her play. She plays club for the Winter Park volleyball program. I loved how excited Miss Kessler was to compete against the competition at the showcase. She always had a bright smile on her face and that says a lot about her love for the game. As a blocker, Sky did a great job in both middle and right side battling at the net. Her ability to keep her shoulders spread out during her press allowed her upper body to stay firm and seal away the net from would be attackers. She kept her hands high during her lateral movement and it really helped her to keep great timing against the opposing attacker. Her long arms were a big weapon for her while on defense and this makes her a candidate for college coaches as blocking is key for any top level defense. On the offensive side, Skylar is very active on the net and is always ready to battle as she keeps her hands high. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this showcase.
