Top Performers DS/L – Sunshine Classic Showcase

The players in this article were selected as the Top Performers Defensive Specialist and Liberos. After following her for a several tournaments I was expecting no less from her. Callee plays several roles for her club team including Defensive Specialist, Serving Specialist, and backrow offense. She excels in every opportunity on the court, her obvious attributes are her defensive platform, speed and accuracy passing the ball. Her vibrant personality helps to create a smooth defensive coordination between her and the teammates. As she was performing in the showcase, numerous coaches acknowledged her defensive skills. Danell passing is steady, her average passes can be rated as 3's constantly getting to target.  Her physicality, speed and conditioning contributed to her performance during the defensive drills and competing against top-notch players in the event. Danell can cover the court getting to the ball during difficult situations, her out-of-system setting is right on target with the necessary high and speed to assist the hitters to complete the play. She clearly communicates on the court taking ownership of the backrow assisting her teammates during serve receive and rally plays. She has an effective floating serve, scoring several aces and keeping the other teams out-of-system. Her passes were consistent, placing the ball right of the setters' hands. During speed drills, Emerson got to the ball even in very difficult situations showing a great physical condition. Her serve receive is effective, she has several digs during the showcase. Additionally, she complements her overall skills with a tough floating serve and excellent communication on the court. A defense specialist for her club team, Elise is a productive player taking every opportunity to shine on the court. She has a forceful floating serve scoring several aces during the event and the Sunshine Classic Qualifiers. Elise is energetic, she has a great presence and communication on the court.
