2027 – Madelyn Collignon – S – Club North 15-1
A smart setter who played on the St. Pius JV squad last fall. She ran a good offense for the eventual champion over the weekend. She delivered quality balls and caught the defense off guard with some huge decision making sending balls over on two to touch the floor.
2027 – Tatum Massey Tatum Massey 5'7" | DS/L Staley | 2027 MO – DS/L – Mavs KC 15-2
Massey was on her game in the back row all weekend. She was pin point in her passing and solid defensively with some tough digs.
2027 – Nora Burdiek Nora Burdiek 5'10" | OH Rossville | 2027 State KS – OH – KNVBC 15-1
Possibly the best player I saw in the gym this weekend. She brings a level of intensity and playmaking ability that stood out among the group. She is a six-rotation pin who is above average in the back row defensively and takes good swings on the pipe. She is almost automatic on either pin. I know she’s young but there were a couple of instances late in a clutch match I would love to see her demand the ball.
2027 – Zoey Hake – S/OPP – 417 Columbia 15-1
I like Hake’s game. For one, She has good size at the net, standing close to six-feet I’m sure. She set and swung from the right side. As a setter, she moves well and does a good job of getting her feet under her sets, even when she’s going behind her from across the court. As a hitter, I liked her ability to hit over the block with a high-tough point.
2027 – Charlotte Becker – MB – Power ‘] 15-2
Becker is one of two pretty good middles on the Power ‘] team. I’m highlighting this one due to not only her ability to hit in front of the setter but she ran a decent slide on a few attempts and was successful. Both middles were good in the blocking department.
2027 – Molly Rome – S – Power ‘] 15-2
Rome was another setter I liked on the day. I was impressed with her volleyball IQ. There were a couple of occasions when she was the back-row setter and made the right move on the overpass, keeping her hand up but below the net, and was able to make a play or two. She has good set location and wasn’t bad in the right back defensively.
