We have been watching the 2024 class very closely throughout the entire high school and club season. A lot of the analysis has come from watching these players in person and also by watching the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone’s recruiting profiles. We have been talking to a lot of coaches across the country and this class is littered with college prospects. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be listed in the rankings due to their individual performances.
Naomi Watson Naomi Watson 6'2" | MB Sacred Heart | 2024 State CA [2024] 6-1 Middle (HS: Sacred Heart Prep/Club: Vision/Verbal: Boston College)
Please officially welcome Miss Watson to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 27th best overall player according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays at Sacred Heart Prep High School and for the Vision volleyball club program. Naomi is a wonderfully skilled attacker and blocker out of the middle for every program she plays for. She is blessed with a great strong frame and speed in her footwork. She is a prototypical middle who is a threat to score at a very fast tempo. Her reach is extremely high and better yet she contacts the ball at the peak of her reach. This is going to make her an impact player at the next level. Although only a senior, she plays like a seasoned veteran of college ball. Her heels do not hit the ground while she drives hard toward her setter making her super fast with her approach for zero tempo sets. I love how she understands true timing principles for each tempo. A lot of younger middles should watch her for understanding when to leave for each set location. We are very proud to have her listed on our prestigious State Rankings list. Please help us congratulate her on her achievement of being listed amongst the great players of this state.
Ruby Flath Ruby Flath 6'4" | OH Castilleja | 2024 State CA [2024] 6-4 Outside (HS: Castilleja/Club: Vision/Verbal: Tufts University)
Please officially welcome Miss Flath to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 31st best overall player according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays at Castilleja High School and for the Vision volleyball club program. While most taller players have a hard time keeping their balance and staying strong during an athletic act, Miss Flath does not. She shows amazing athleticism while attacking on either pin. I especially love seeing her adjust her upper body when attacking on the right side. She stays patient and keeps her shoulders straight in order to be able to hit both line and angle with power. As a blocker she is a formidable one on the right side against opponents’ best attackers. One of the best things about this young lady has to be her mind. She is a very smart student with a very high volleyball IQ who can outthink her opponents. She knows exactly what she wants to do with her life and is setting out on a great path to do it. We are very happy to have her listed on our site. Please help us congratulate her on earning a spot in our prestigious State Rankings.
Paulina Baillie Paulina Baillie 5'6" | DS/L Sage Creek | 2024 State CA [2024] 5-6 Libero (HS: Sage Creek/Club: Coast/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please officially welcome Miss Baillie to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 33rd best overall player according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She stars on the volleyball court at Sage Creek High School and also at the famed Coast volleyball club program. Paulina is a two-sport star who also shines bright on the sand as she plays beach volleyball at a high level as well. She is so well respected by her coaching staff and peers that she was named captain of her high school squad, which is a huge honor. I have witnessed her genius on the sport court during club tournaments for the past three years as she has put on ball control clinics for everyone in attendance. Due to her ability to play in the sand, which helps every aspect of ball control, she is a master at everything. Miss Baillie has been on my watch list for quite some time and we have written a few articles on her over the years but nothing brings me greater pleasure than to have her listed as a state ranked player. Please help us congratulate her on earning a spot in our prestigious State Rankings.
