The DuPont Manual duo of Abby Genter and Aubrey Montgomery Aubrey Montgomery S DuPont Manual | 2025 State KY showed solid all-around talent this past fall and are trying to utilize those skills for this team as setters. Genter has 662 assists, 291 digs and 51 aces serving. Montgomery has 287 kills, 505 assists and can be used as a hitter recording 176 kills on the season.
Lacy Marx from Mater Dei (Indiana) leads the team with 395 kills and Assumption’s Abby McElroy is trying to step into a bigger role this season for the Rockets with 345 digs and a team-high 65 aces. Brooklyn Borden from Providence (Indiana) has 221 digs good for fifth on the team. Borden and Marx have also eclipsed the 50 ace plateau for the season with 58 and 52, respectively.
Genter and Montgomery set up a number of solid hitters. The 6-0 outside hitter Addison Jarvis Addison Jarvis 6'0" | OH Frederick Douglass | 2025 State KY from Frederick Douglass in Lexington leads the team with 387 kills and Assumption’s 6-1 Janie Eichberger Janie Eichberger 6'2" | MB Assumption | 2025 State KY has 284. The 6-2 Abby Larson from Providence (Indiana) is the third member of the team with more than 200 kills on the season at 203. Eichberger has a team-high 65 assisted blocks to go with 10 solo blocks. Larson has 11 solo and 40 assisted blocks with Frederick Douglass teammate Izzy Wallace has a team-high 13 solo blocks to go with 51 assisted blocks to go with 126 kills. Floyd Central (Indiana) middle blocker Nora Gibson and Oldham County outside Audrey Doyon have had their moments for KIVA 17 White.
The team boasts an impressive 43-12 record on the season. KIVA 17 White finished 8-0 winning the 17 Premier Red Championship in the Central Zone Tournament in Indianapolis in early February and took runner-up in the 18 Gold Premier Division in the Martin Luther King Tournament in Houlston in mid-January.
The team plays in the 17 Premier Division over the next three days in the Junior Volleyball Association World Challenge at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville. The first match is Friday at 8 a.m. on Court 54 against EC Power LV 17-Titanium from Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania.
Jarvis has a tough shot from the pins that opponents never truly know where it is going. Her line shots are tough to dig up and just when opponents think she is going there, Jarvis pulls a bit off and hits it to the center of the court. Jarvis does a great job transitioning from defense to offense. Jarvis is mainly a hitter for her club team and Frederick Douglass, but she can also dig up balls. Jarvis had a team-high 373 kills, 23 assisted blocks, five solo blocks, 158 digs and 36 aces to lead the Broncos to a 24-13 record, a 42nd District championship and 11th Region semifinal appearance.

Marx is no doubt a hustler. She tries to get to any balls near her. Marx has shown the ability to dig up hard balls letting her blockers guide her to them. She adjusts her body quickly to where balls are doing and makes nice passes.

Abby Genter
Genter brings a dynamic skill set to the table for KIVA 17 White. Genter can set all over the court including the back set so opponents have to respect both sides of her in that front row. She goes hard after balls and can make quick adjustments to go forward after balls softly hit in front of her. Genter had 472 assists, 129 digs, 76 aces and 36 kills helping Manual to a 25-12 record, a second straight 25th District championship and a spot in the 7th Region semifinals.

Larson definitely makes opponents aware of her using her size at the net. Larson can pound the ball all over the court and even power balls through blockers when necessary. She is really tough on the quick sets. Larson also does a great job jumping up and timing balls for solid blocks
