We are at a point where we get to see the progress from all of the hard work they’ve been putting in. For the Class of 2025, here are some players who found a way onto our radar this weekend.
Zoe Emineth
Zoe Emineth
Emineth was not about to back down from a challenge in their quarterfinal against Sky High. She helped get her team started with a big block in the middle. Emineth is quick and explosive along the net. When she closes the block it really challenges attackers to even work around her.
Maddy Wilson Maddy Wilson 5'10" | MB Onalaska | 2025 WI

Wilson is quick off the ground and patrols the net with purpose. She terminates overpasses and gets her arm up early to execute the attack. Wilson did a great job of taking the fast first step and closing the block. She has a great clipper for a serve that leaves passers locked up.
Mara Butschlick
Mara Butschlick
Butschlick is a new name for me but she packs a serious punch. I love that she is active in transition and constantly trying to make herself available. She has a big presence at the net and closes the block. Butschlick also will run a slide and bury the ball in the deep 1 corner. She’s got finesse too and will use a soft tip to score as well.
Ava Russell Ava Russell 6'0" | MB Mequon | 2025 WI
Ava Russell Ava Russell 6'0" | MB Mequon | 2025 WI
I really like the way Russell moves along the net. She is really fast laterally and quick off the ground to put up the block. Russell has a high contact point and fast armswing to make a very dynamic and powerful attack.
Makayla Brandenburg
Makayla Brandenburg
Brandenburg is a steady force for Sting 18 White, She does a nice job of firing at the low seam in the block. Brandenburg lit up the deep line to pull her team ahead in the Quarterfinal match.
Peyton Sullivan
Peyton Sullivan
Sullivan does a really nice job of taking up a good portion of the court in serve receive so her hitters can focus on the attack.
Olivia Wall
Olivia Wall
Wall is so springy and I didn’t even see her coming but out of nowhere she flew into the middle and took a monster swing on the ball. One rotation later she was causing havoc on the right side. She has a fast armswing and goes after blockers hands with no fear. Wall does a great job setting up the block and pressing the ball back into the court.
Vanessa Anderson
Vanessa Anderson
Anderson first caught my attention with a wicked serve that locked up her opponents. Then she showed off her consistency in serve receive and then I got to see her jump and take a swing at the ball. She is fearless and flies in to take a big rip at the ball.
Sidney Fillbach
Sidney Fillbach
Fillbach is steady and consistent with her setting. She does a great job giving her attackers plenty of opportunities to terminate.
