Of course this tournament was not only about winning, but also getting a chance to put your skills to the test and play with different levels of competition.
Now that Red Rock Rave is over, I put together a list of standout players from Nevada club teams that you absolutely need to know. The class of 2025, current juniors, had a ton of talent and it was very hard to narrow it down to just a few.
However, here are a few girls that I either got a chance to see live in person or on BallerTV.
Carsyn Stansberry
Carsyn Stansberry
I had the opportunity to witness Carsyn’s game firsthand over the weekend, and I was thoroughly impressed by her performance across the board. Stansberry demonstrates proficiency both on the front and back rows, allowing her to contribute significantly throughout the match. I observed her make impressive blocks, some great passes, and rack up some kills. Additionally, she boasts a recent Nevada 5A state championship win with Bishop Gorman and currently competes on the Top Flight Volleyball 17 National Team. She has one more year to get even better and impress college coaches.
Schwartz is the smart, aggressive setter you want on your team! With her precise setting and exceptional ball control, she is able to execute plays flawlessly a LOT of the time. In addition, she helps her team score more points by quickly swiping overpasses and making critical blocks. Her exceptional ball placement from just about anywhere on the court and very clean sets help put her teammates in the best position to get an easy kill. Rachel’s strategic decision-making in crucial game moments was instrumental in securing a top-five spot in the Gold bracket for her Vegas Aces 17UA squad. As she gears up for her senior season, I’ll get the chance to witness her fight for another shot at the state title, following last year’s impressive second-place finish.
Highlights
Bella Diedrich
Bella Diedrich
Bella was one of the liberos in this class that really caught my eye over the weekend. Watching her play on Day 2 of Red Rock Rave, I was impressed by her hustle, reading skills and court coverage. She betters the ball for her teammates when out of system and plays hard the entire match. Diedrich’s presence was felt all over the court, contributing to some remarkable plays during the game I witnessed. I will get more chances to see her in action during her senior season at Palo Verde.
Natasha Kleckner
Natasha Kleckner
Natasha owns the net when she is on front row which leads to big blocks and key kills during matches for her team. She consistently uses her height to her advantage, whether it’s beating teams to an overpass or making it exceptionally difficult for hitters to surpass her block. Additionally, she transitions back pretty quickly after a block, ensuring she’s readily available to attack on most possessions. This was a new name for me and I’m delighted to have come across such a talented player. I will be sure to check her out again next Fall at Palo Verde.
Da’Maia Bryant
Da’Maia Bryant
Da’Maia was one of my favorite middle blockers to watch over the weekend. Her ability to read the hitter like a book results in more blocks than the average player, or at the very least, she disrupts the ball’s trajectory enough for her team to set up a strong play. Simply put, she embodies the essence of a true middle blocker. Additionally, she excels at delivering powerful swings into her opponents’ deep, open corners and can serve up aces with her impressive float serve. With her final high school season approaching, I predict she will go out with a bang and continue the block party. I’ll be keeping an eye on her for the remainder of her school career.
There were of course a ton more players that impressed me at the tournament and I will be introducing more of them in future articles. You can view more of my Red Rock Rave standout picks based in Nevada for the class of 2026 and 2027 here on PrepDig.com
