Held at the Salt Palace Convention Center and live streamed via BallerTV, this event is amazing! This article series will discuss some of the players that turned the heads of the court coaches and scouts that were in attendance. Let’s see who earned the Top Performer award from the showcase.
Bailey Beh [2027] 6-1 Outside (HS: Mancos/Club: Mystik VB/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Bailey is currently an unranked prospect in the 2027 Class according to our Prep Dig Colorado State Rankings, but that is only because we have not released them yet for her state yet. She plays volleyball for Mancos High School and also club for Mystik Volleyball. Miss Beh showed up and showed out during the entire showcase. While playing on the top court with all of the older players, her dominance was on full display. Routinely she rose up fast off of the ground and dropped some bombs on the opposing side. I love how she was able to adjust her footwork to any set location and tempo that came her way on the left side. She is able to turn in mid-air and swing hard down the line for a score. I love how she doesn’t show it early and disguises it from the blockers. With all of her body control, you can also see that she has what it takes to play the middle position also and score around a block. We are very excited with what we saw from her play and think you should give her a look. Please help us congratulate her on earning the Top Performer award at the showcase.
Addie Sanders [2028] 6-0 Middle (HS: Syracuse/Club: Kongo/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Addie is currently an unranked prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig Utah State Rankings, but that is only because they have not been released yet for her state. She will play volleyball for Syracuse High School and also plays club for the Kongo volleyball program. Miss Sanders turned a lot of heads during the showcase in both the positional drill and during the scrimmages. Her long frame and awesome power on her attack caught the attention of a few of our court coaches and myself. I really liked the way she battled at the net on the defensive side. She kept her hands really high while at base and this helped to speed up the timing of her block as she didn’t have to drop them during her load phase. When she jumped and pressed her hands over the net, she really sealed it away from would be scorers. Having a middle blocker who really commits to setting the tone of the defense like that is what very coach in the country would want in a player. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this showcase.
Makenna Smith Makenna Smith 5'8" | DS/L Mater Dei | 2027 CA [2027] 5-8 Libero (HS: Mater Dei/Club: Orange Coast/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Makenna is currently an unranked prospect in the 2027 Class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings, but that is only because we have not released them yet. She plays at the famed Mater Dei High School and plays club for the Orange Coast volleyball program. I loved the attitude that Makenna showed throughout the entire showcase. Her court coach mentioned that she was such a joy to coach during the scrimmage portion. Her eyes are always fixated on the opposing side as if she is studying when to anticipate the ball. She has a great focus that is needed as a defensive specialist/libero. Miss Smith has a super solid jump float serve that stifled many players. She has pinpoint accuracy with it that she can place to any zone that her coaches call out. I love her pre-serve routine that she does to get herself focused. It is a couple of little bounces closer to the floor and gets her mind in the right mode prior to the serve. We will keep our eyes on her to see how she progresses but were very happy with what we saw from her on the court at the showcase. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this showcase.
