Here is the second report featuring players from the Class of 2026. This one features six athletes who made significant climbs up the rankings. Each was previously ranked and all six are now among the top 30 ranked players in Kansas.

[player_tooltip player_id='355648' first='Dominique' last='Schellenger'], 5'11”, RS, Trinity Academy

Schellenger is very athletic and moved a total of 70 spots from No. 81 to No. 11 overall. She has had a solid club season and plays on a deep Trinity roster. She finished her sophomore season with 57 total blocks and 139 kills. She has recorded back-to-back seasons with 50-plus blocks to start her high school career. Her jumping skills are what make her special, but she will need a big junior season to remain in the Top 20 among her Sunflower State peers.

[player_tooltip player_id='222106' first='Carlyle' last='Johnson'], 6'1”, MB, Collegiate

Johnson parlayed a big step up in total kills to move up the rankings from No. 37 to No. 12. She finished with 279 kills for Collegiate as a sophomore up from 168 during her freshman season. She has a difficult serve to receive which has led to 77 career aces. Johnson has also racked up 76 total blocks in two high school seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='489756' first='Avery' last='McCorry'], 5'9”, RS, Bishop Carroll

McCorry is a six-rotation talent who jumped from the No. 45 position to the No. 14 overall ranking. She is a versatile talent who can play multiple positions including setter. During her sophomore season, she had a bulky stat line that included, 244 kills, 192 assists, and 36 aces. She has also posted back-to-back seasons of 30-plus blocks.

[player_tooltip player_id='489650' first='Taylor' last='McDonald'], 6'1”, MB, Valley Center

Valley Center's McDonald increased her position from the No. 32 slot to the No. 20 spot. She finished with 233 kills and 91 blocks in 77 sets played last season for the Hornets. She has a big reach and timing which has resulted in 179 total blocks in two high school seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='206380' first='Kalyn' last='Sampson'], 5'9”, S, Sedgwick

Sampson improved her positioning to be ranked No. 24 overall after previously being ranked No. 51. There is an argument to be made that she might still be underrated. The small school prospect is not one you want to sleep on if you are a college coach. She can set and hit. She finished with 621 assists for the Cardinals as a sophomore. She also chipped in 59 total blocks and 160 kills to the Sedgwick offense. I got to see her play one set of club ball recently, but she left the match early with an illness.

[player_tooltip player_id='355654' first='Rebekah' last='Slaughter'], 5'10”, S, Shawnee Mission East

Slaughter is one of the few setters who improved their overall ranking in the recent updates. She improved from No. 41 to No. 30 in an update that saw a trend of hitters moving up, while the setters moved down She recorded 761 assists for the Lancers in 88 sets played. She finished with 573 assists as a freshman. and has already logged more than 1,000 assists. She surely will make a run at 2,000 or even 3,000 assists if she stays healthy.
