Beasts In The East: Eastern Kansas Setting Machines

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>After reflecting on what direction I wanted to focus on for May reporting, I decided to focus on the setter position.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This third report features five setters currently ranked athletes by Prep Dig who play for Eastern Kansas High Schools.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='349386' first='Jaida' last='Stallbaumer']</strong>, 5'8”, S, Seaman, ‘25</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Stallbaumer is a solid multiple-sport prospect at Seaman. She contributed to Seaman winning Class 5 State Championships in both volleyball and basketball last as a junior. She is very athletic and was a solid role player on both championship clubs. Stallbaumer is currently ranked No. 61 overall in the Kansas Class of 2025. Prep Girls Hoops Kansas has Stallbaumer ranked No. 164 in its 2025 rankings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='219710' first='Marly' last='Burbach']</strong>, 5'11”, S, Blue Valley Northwest, ‘25</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Dig has Burbach ranked No. 85 overall among her Sunflower State peers. She has had two solid varsity seasons for the Huskies. Her assist numbers dropped last season, but her kill numbers increased. In 91 sets as a sophomore, she racked up 579 assists, and in 85 sets she recorded 317 assists in her junior campaign. She added 247 kills, 32 aces, and 25 blocks to her junior stat line.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='493370' first='Prayer' last='Roebuck']</strong>, 5'6”, S, Neodesha, ‘25</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Roebuck is listed as a right-side hitter in our rankings, but she can set a solid ball as well. I have seen her play high school and club ball and she is used more as a setter by her high school club. She has all the tools to make a quality college athlete. She is already a member of the 1,000-kill club heading into her senior season. During her junior season for the Blue Streaks, she recorded 525 kills, 344 assists, and 185 digs. Roebuck is currently ranked No. 36 overall in the class of 2025.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='514813' first='Arabell' last='Razzano']</strong>, 5'6”, S, Wamego, ‘25</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Razzano has the benefit of playing with one of the best jumping hitters in Kansas. She racked up 620 assists in 81 sets played for the Red Raiders as a junior. She also chipped in with 151 digs and 24 total blocks. The Wamego setter is currently ranked No. 164 overall in the Kansas Class of 2025.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='493367' first='Olivia' last='Monroe']</strong>, 5'5”, S, Lawrence, ‘25</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Lawrence's Monroe is a spunky setter with solid technique. She communicates well with her teammates and keeps her attackers engaged and involved in the offense. Monroe is currently ranked No. 165 overall by Prep Dig Kansas.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
