<p>The State Rankings update is here!!! We have added 20 new players in this update and tons have made some serious moves bettering their stock. We have been watching the 2026 class very closely throughout the entire high school and club season. A lot of the analysis has come from watching these players in person and also by watching the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone's recruiting profiles. We have been talking to a lot of coaches across the country and this class is littered with college prospects. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be listed in the rankings due to their individual performances. </p>

<p>Please officially welcome Miss Crosson to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 14th best overall player according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays at Archbishop Mitty High School and for the Vision volleyball club program. You can't teach height and Makenna has a lot of it. The talented attacker is someone that opposing head coaches must know where they are in every rotation due to her offensive skill set. Her right arm is deadly and she unleashes it well on any takers. Not only is she tall, but what makes her difficult to slow down is how she contacts the ball at the true peak of her reach. The other aspect that I marvel at is how she exerts so much power through her downward swing on the ball. I love how she crunches her abs in order to add that extra pop into the ball. It definitely helps the pace that it travels with to the other side of the court. Routinely she racks up double digit kills in each match. You cannot fully stop her, you just have to try to contain her as much as possible to give your team a fighting chance. Did I mention that this young lady can score just as efficiently from the back row also? Well she can, so I strongly encourage anyone who needs a terminating left side please check her out and you will be just as amazed as we are. In the meantime, please help us congratulate her on earning a spot on our State Ranking List. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='542450' first='Aberdeen' last='Callaway'] [2026] 6-1 Outside (HS: Flintridge Prep/Club: [program_tooltip program_id='429511' first='San' last='Gabriel Elite']/Verbal: Uncommitted)</strong></p>

<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>Please officially welcome Miss Callaway to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 16th best overall player according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays for Flintridge High School and also the [program_tooltip program_id='429511' first='San' last='Gabriel Elite'] volleyball club program. What catches my eye about Aberdeen is how she utilizes her athleticism in order to create angles for her to attack at the net. It doesn't matter if the set is dying inside just a little, because she will speed up her footwork and adjust in order to catch up and keep the ball on her right side at the one o'clock position. This will help her stay compact with her arm close to her body and get the maximum amount of power in her swing. The amount of power that she is able to generate with her lightning quick swing makes it very difficult for blockers to shut her down. If they do not have proper timing and technique, she will make them pay with a nice tool out of bounds. I love how SG brings her inside on purpose with her route when teams have their blocking scheme wide. She has a seam to hit against every single time and it is almost a guaranteed kill. She is not a one trick pony though. Miss Callaway is the type of player who can score from any location she wants to. Please help us congratulate her on earning a spot in our prestigious State Rankings. </p>

<p>Please officially welcome Miss Dorn to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 21st best overall player according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays for Ripon High School and also the Rage volleyball club program. We recently wrote an article on her and here is a little refresher of it, <em>“Hands down Miss Dorn was the best setter in the entire gym and was nominated by multiple court coaches for this award. Not only were her skills top notch, but she had the best attitude of any of the players in attendance. You can tell she just loves to play the game. Her smile and positive approach to her teammates and coaches was contagious to everyone around her. When you mix that amazing attitude with the frame and skills of a top-level setter, you have the recipe for one amazing college recruit. I cannot wait to add her to the State Rankings and see where she falls on the list. Her hands are super soft and she has the power to deliver the ball to any place she wants to no matter where she is located on the court. Just when you think that is all she has in her repertoire, she is a very highly skilled attacker also.”</em> After watching her in person at the showcase and then studying her game film online over the last few months, it wasn't whether she was going to make the cut or not, it was where should I rank her. I loved everything about her play and more importantly her attitude. When I spoke with her after the event in Salt Lake City, she was very well spoken and full of happiness about moving forward in the sport. In my humble opinion, she is the type of player that you can build a winning championship team around. All schools who want a natural born leader should give her a few looks. In the meantime, please congratulate her on earning a top spot in our State Ranking List. </p>
