This means that the next class that will see such a number of commitments should be coming from this group of kids, who are ending their sophomore years on the rise. Here are five pin attackers from five different clubs that should be finding collegiate volleyball homes sooner rather than later.
Lydia Stahley Lydia Stahley 6'1" | RS Roncalli | 2026 State IN , 6-1 Pin, Roncalli, Team Indiana
Lydia is a high-flying, fast-armed attacker that can put balls away with ease and pace from either pin. Although the majority of the swings I’ve personally seen her take are from the left side, there’s no doubt she’s adept at terminating from both sides of the court. Her defensive and serve receive games are improving this club season as well, making her that much more recruitable for the class of ’26.
Calista Foster Calista Foster 5'9" | OH Benton Central | 2026 State IN , 5-9 OH, Benton Central, Boiler Juniors
I have personally watched Calista carry her exceptional Boiler Juniors 16 Gold team to victory in multiple title matches this spring. Miss Foster is a six-rotation, hit-from-anywhere athlete that should never have to come out of the game for any reason. Her SR is controlled and accurate, her attacks are smart and have pace, and her defense is exemplary.
MaryKate Scheumann MaryKate Scheumann 5'10" | OH Bellmont | 2026 State IN , 5-10 OH, Bellmont, Team Pineapple
Before we get into the fall (and the changed classifications that come with it), let’s talk about all of the things Miss Scheumann was responsible for this past fall. In the state championship match, Bellmont’s setter went down, putting MaryKate in the spotlight. Giving up her primary-passing position to set, she ended with a triple-double, proving yet again how well-rounded this young lady’s game actually is. Full-time, though, she’s a six-rotation primary attacker that can be a workhorse for your squad.
Rose Mahin Rose Mahin 5'9" | OH Franklin Community | 2026 State IN , 5-9 OH, Franklin Community, Rev
Probably the hardest hitter on this list, Rose looks lithe but has a ton of shoulder strength. She can grip it and rip it from behind the baseline too, and her ability to terminate from anywhere on the court brought her to my attention over a year ago. I’m looking forward to her growing her strength even more in the coming years, as her serve receive and defense are improving almost daily.
Josie Imes Josie Imes 5'10" | OH Zionsville | 2026 State IN , 5-10 OH, Zionsville, Circle City
Taking a runway approach to hitting, Josie maxes her attack touch height by taking a full transition on each and every approach. This allows her to see the court well, hit every angle at her disposal, and terminate at will. She’s just as adept at point scoring from the back row, and I’ve found on multiple occasions that she thrives in being the primary attacker for any team.
