New Setters in the 2026 Rankings

Today we want to get to know some of the setters included in the 2026 rankings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='542224' first='Izzy' last='Sohl'] - HPSTL</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sohl is new to the rankings and I don't know how other than we miss some players at times. The first time I saw her live I was impressed and after watching video over the last couple of months I know she is a baller. She is one of the top setters in the state in this class. Her ball placement and decision-making stand out as her strengths. Izzy enters the rankings at 12, the highest of new additions</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='490797' first='Piper' last='N. Allen'] - Dynasty</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Allen has played within the Dynasty family of programs in her club career and makes her debut in the rankings. She has played in both the setter and right-side positions and has shown a good skill set. She never looks flustered on the court and always appears to be in control. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='526489' first='Payton' last='Lutz'] - Optimum</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Optimum Volleyball is one of the newer clubs in the Kansas City area and has been around for a couple of years now. Lutz has been a good player on their 16's team. She is an offensive-minded setter who has no hesitation taking the ball over on two. I also like her ability to put up a solid block in the right front. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='527282' first='Samantha' last='McHale'] - HPSTL</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mchale enters the rankings for the first time after a good high school season at Parkway and a productive club season at HPSTL. She is another strong setter who excels in other areas on the court. Her back-row defense is a thing I took note of during evaluations. She is really solid in the category. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='413108' first='Chloe' last='Van Meter'] - Mavs</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Rounding out our new setters in the rankings is Van Meter. The Staley product is another setter you can find taking some swings on the right side, and quite effective with her 5'5" frame. An area I like about the Optimum player is her aggressiveness behind the service lines. You can find her at times going on a run of aces when she's in a rhythm. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
