Prospect Spotlight: Five Unranked 2025 Setters

As I continue to focus on the setter position this month, I discovered five more unranked setters in the class of 2025.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This fourth report on setters features five athletes who posted solid assist numbers during their junior prep seasons.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Averie Stithem</strong>, 5'6”, S, Royal Valley, ‘25</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Stithem is a setter who could parlay a big senior season into a rankings debut. She finished with 329 assists in 88 sets for the Panthers last season. She also played solid defense adding 128 serve receptions and 123 digs to her junior season stat line.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='643699' first='Loen' last='Henderson']</strong>, 5'3”, S, Wichita East, ‘25</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A drove of coaches and scouts will be watching Wichita East's football quad this fall, but they should also stop by the gym and check out Ace setter Henderson. She finished her junior season with 328 assists in 58 sets played.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Claire Rolfs</strong>, 5'7”, S, Garden Plain, ‘25</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Rolfs is a Garden Plain Owl who hopes to fly to higher reaches during her senior campaign. In 83 sets played, Rolfs recorded 337 assists as a junior. She also added an impressive total of 87 kills.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Eliz White</strong>, 5'6”, S, Southeast, ‘25</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>When my regular hankering for Mall Deli hits me this fall, I may have to head west of Pittsburg to catch the Southeast Lancers and White in action. White is a versatile athlete who plays multiple positions. Her junior season stat line included 299 assists, 186 digs, and 74 kills. I have not seen the Lancers play since the Rosemary Pender era, so a trip to Cherokee would bring back awesome memories.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='643705' first='Shyanne' last='Yost']</strong>, 5'6”, S, Thomas More Prep, ‘25</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Yost posted solid numbers for TMP as a junior. In 78 sets she accumulated 297 assists, 205 digs, and 136 kills.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
