Two Committed Talents Featured In Capt. Conan’s Coverage Club

Conan's Coverage Club.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In case you missed its debut earlier this month, this will be a new long-term series of reports on Prep Dig.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This series of reports won't be organized by position, school size, club team, league, region, graduation year, or statistical category. These reports will include athletes that data suggest need more exposure or athletes I feel need extra exposure.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here are five athletes that I am happy to welcome to the Coverage Club. Two of them have recently announced their verbal commitments to play college volleyball.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='173383' first='Leah' last='Russell-Bova']</strong>, 5'10”, OH, Olathe West, ‘25</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Russell-Bova has announced her verbal commitment to Elmhurst University. She is currently ranked No. 51 overall in the class of 2025. The Elmhurst Bluejays are a Division III program in Illinois.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='173393' first='Caroline' last='Clayton']</strong>, 5'9”, OH, Olathe South, ‘25</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Clayton has announced her verbal commitment to Western Illinois. The Olathe South prospect enters her senior season ranked No. 62 overall by Prep Dig Kansas.  The Western Illinois Leathernecks are a Division I program competing in the Ohio Valley Conference.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='355645' first='Molly' last='McDonald']</strong>, 6'0”, MB, Shawnee Mission East, ‘26</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>McDonald is a ranked athlete who I have yet to see play in person. She is long due for coverage on Prep Dig. She finished her sophomore season with 145 kills and 30 blocks. Based on her season stats it looks like she primarily plays front-row only for the Lancers. She is currently ranked No. 23 in the class of 2026 and plays club ball with [program_tooltip program_id='430200' first='KC' last='Power'].</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='472938' first='Hailie' last='Vaughn']</strong>, 6'0”, OH, Blue Valley Southwest, ‘26</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Vaughn is another ranked six-foot prospect from the KC Metro. Vaughn is ranked No. 32 by Prep Dig and has not been mentioned recently. She was featured as an honorable mention athlete on the All-Deck 15U Club Team in April 2023. During her sophomore season, she recorded 185 kills in 84 sets played. Vaughn also finished with 296 serve receptions last season for the Timberwolves.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='445976' first='Reese' last='Maslowski']</strong>, 5'10”, OH, Blue Valley North, ‘27</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Maslowski was last featured in November 2023 as a member of the All-Deck Freshman Team. She is currently ranked No. 11 in the class of 2027 by Prep Dig. Maslowski collected 132 kills in 93 sets of varsity action as a freshman. She also chipped in 46 digs and 24 blocks for the Mustangs. She will be expected to continue to evolve and play larger roles for her prep and club teams.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
