NorCal 15 Black

NorCal is led by head coach Garyn Adams. They won their bid by getting an At-Large bid due to their finish at the Salt Lake City National Qualifier. This team get started by some solid middle play. [player_tooltip player_id='254133' first='Carly' last='Johnson'] is big and strong while putting up her hands to take away scoring opportunities from attackers. She keeps her hands high and pressed over at the right time. Her team thrives off of her ability to slow down the opposing side's offensive arsenal. [player_tooltip player_id='501194' first='Ellie' last='Armato'] is another defender who preys upon unsuspecting would-be point scorers. She knows how to block well with impeccable technique. [player_tooltip player_id='780836' first='Rachel' last='Richardson'] wants to get in on the block party and she is not only invited, but she is one of the main hosts! Being long and lean will get you a seat at the table for sure and she is both of those things. This young lady can turn heads with her ability at the net and she is supremely confident. The right arm of Pearl Chertock is golden and she can fire away from the left side of the court with power. Setter [player_tooltip player_id='730198' first='Aniston' last='Hunt'] knows just when to send over a dump to give her team a point when they need it most. I like how she effortlessly pushes the ball to the pins also. One player who excited me with her digging ability is libero [player_tooltip player_id='499457' first='Brooklyn' last='Zhang']. She is super fast all over the court with amazing footwork and digs the hard driven ball with the best at her position in her grad class. I am putting her in my players to watch for sure with what I have witnessed. I like the way she stalks her prey always moving her feet to the proper position to play the ball. She reminds me of a big cat stalking its prey so quietly and ready to pounce at the right opportunity. I really like this team and the way they play the game.

[program_tooltip program_id='431254' first='San' last='Antonio Juniors'] 15 Adidas

SA Junios won their bid at the Windy City National Qualifier this season. They are led by head coach Laura Suarez and have proven to be a solid contender all season long. This team has some amazing players who work extremely hard and are coached with some fire. It all starts with the all around play of super phenom [player_tooltip player_id='411591' first='Nailah' last='Randle']. This young lady is as explosive as they come in the position and that is why we have her ranked so high in her grad class. I have seen her in person for the last few years and she amazed me from the very first time. Not only does she have an amazing ability to levitate in the air, but she packs a violent punch that is very hard to stop. Setters Banner Baca and [player_tooltip player_id='443031' first='Lorena' last='Gomez'] feed her often with some accurate dimes. Any hitter would look great with bullets from these two snipers. Middles [player_tooltip player_id='482083' first='Jordynn' last='Taylor'] and [player_tooltip player_id='482112' first='Zoe' last='Fuqua'] provide some athletic play for this talented team on both ends from the floor. [player_tooltip player_id='482093' first='Lucy' last='Rote'] is a right side who takes a lot of pressure off of this team only being a one-trick pony. She is a tall and talented pin who can take on any opposing number one hitter without being afraid. This club is known for having some amazing liberos and that is because they train extremely well behind the scenes. [player_tooltip player_id='536976' first='Jyllian' last='Casas'] is one of the next crop of young defensive dynamos who patrol the entire court to give their squad a fighting chance. Their hitters swing away with gusto because of her ability to cover them if need be. She knows her role and plays it very well. Due to their amazing play all year long in big tournaments, I would say that this team has what it takes to medal at nationals. Keep your eye on them as we will be.
