10 Setters from 10 Clubs Dominating AAU Nationals 15s Divisions

The 15s divisions of AAU Nationals are well underway, with teams ending their second day of competition. Wisconsin has teams in nearly every division and from every corner of the state. It is really fun to see them compete at the end of their seasons, and it makes me excited to see them during the upcoming high school season. Here are 10 setters from 10 clubs who are running the show in Orlando.    Catherine is so impressive as a setter. She helped lead her high school team to a state championship in the fall, and now she is setting a 5-1 for her talented club team. Catherine is athletic and has great endurance. She has a quick, clean touch on the ball and a great connection with each of her hitters.     Chloe has improved an incredible amount in the last year. She is playing for [program_tooltip program_id='431537' first='Midwest' last='Penguins'] 15-Black with confidence and savvy, which makes her an impact player on the court. She makes smart decisions and shows a lot of grit and resilience when she is playing.     Lauren is a setter who is already turning heads. She typically sets in the back row and swings in the front row. She has high contact on the ball and quick tempo sets. She utilizes every hitter and spreads her offense well. In the front row, Lauren is a go-to hitter who can hit shots and put some pace on the ball to earn points.     Gabrielle played setter and right side and was consistent and impactful at both. She has a lot of raw talent that will only improve with more experience. She has good court vision and is smart with her decisions. Her presence and leadership on the court were noticeable.     Emma is a solid setter with a lot of potential. She has great ball control, foot work, and placement on her sets. As she continues to play competitively and she develops her faster-tempo offense, Emma will be nearly unstoppable.     Allyson is another setter who is packed with raw athleticism. She has a clean contact on the ball and really challenges herself to make tough sets. Her consistency and smart choices give her hitters a lot of options. I saw her play earlier this season and she has made huge strides since then. I can't wait to see her continue to impress!     Maddy was setting a 5-1 for Epic 15 Black. She did a great job controling the pace of her offense. I was really impressed with the placement of her sets when she was on the move. She can get a lot of distacne on her sets and works to get her feet to the ball.     Kendra runs a 5-1 for Air VBC. She clearly has a great connection with each of her hitters and knows their preferences well. She mixes up her offense and keeps each of her hitters involved. She was a natural leader on the court and brought consistency to the court.     Caylee is another setter and rightside combo player who has great control and court awareness. She took smart swings in the front row and converted several points. When she was setting she moved the ball around and ran down tough passes. Caylee's athleticism was apparent throughout the match I saw.     Brianna stood out to me because of her decision making. She set against the grain when it was smart to do so and kept opposing blockers on their toes. She kept her middle involved which can be tough to do.
