AAU Nationals’ 16 Open Highlights: Day 3

Who showed up and who showed out?</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With 16 spots on the line for the all-coveted gold medal bracket, there were some impressive performances throughout the field.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here are some of the top players to come out of Day 3 of AAU Nationals' 16 Open.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='529571' first='Adriana' last='Jeanpierre'] - OTVA</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>To see how progressed this player has become at this position is quite a feat. Jeanpierre is running the offense for OTVA with a lot of speed, yet a lot of precision. She's an athletic player that moves well and can turn any play around.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='535541' first='Rylan' last='Miller'] - OTVA&nbsp;</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This libero was taking on a lot of heat with great ease. There's no wonder why this was the first committed player in the 2026 class. Miller is a top notch libero with a lot of range and intangibles that puts her ahead.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Ellery DeBoar - MN Select&nbsp;</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the biggest reasons that MN Select has found themselves in the mix for a trophy tomorrow is because of their setter. DeBoar was all game face today, and she had her team running at an electric rate. She's fast on the court and can track down the hardest of first contacts.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Adalyn Sheitlin - Synergy Force</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This opposite is a prime example of what every good opposite should be. A go-to point scorer. Scheitlin not only brings the points on the right side, by in a lot of combination situations, she is an undeniable force. I was particularly impressed with her 2-ball up the middle.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Gianna Bogan - Synergy Force</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>From one end of the pin to the next, Bogan gives no breaks to any opponents expecting to camp out on Scheitlin. These two pins were in complete tandem of each other and carried their team to some huge victories today. Bogan can bounce with the best of them but yet has a lot of control and balance in her offense.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Sophia Gisslen - Team Pineapple</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>If there's one thing to know about a good Pineapple team, it's that it all starts at the setter position. Gisslen is one of the best in the field and has operated her team to a gold bracket berth on Day 4.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Addison Shippy - Team Pineapple&nbsp;</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A middle that can run about any route on the net, Shippy was terminating at an extremely high level today! Shippy follows this up with an excellent press on the block that was giving opposing attackers all day long.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Kapri Garnett - Sunshine&nbsp;</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This right side attacker has a serious size advantage on a lot of her competitors. When Garnett is able to utilize her size, there's not much others can do to slow her down, let alone stop her!&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
