The Abilene Spiketacular Tournament starts bright and early tomorrow morning.

Twelve schools are scheduled to attend the event. Ninety-one matches are scheduled to take place on six courts and two locations. I plan on scouting four matches each morning at Abilene High School.

Here is the second preview report of the event. This report features four athletes from the class of 2026 currently ranked by Prep Dig.

Stay tuned this week for coverage of the tournament on Prep Dig.

Fritz is a two-sport prospect for the Cougars. She is currently ranked No. 34 overall by Prep Dig and No. 15 by Prep Girls Hoops. On the volleyball court, she can play multiple positions and had a sophomore stat line that included 245 kills, 280 assists, and 54 total blocks in 86 sets. On the basketball floor, she averaged 13.5 points and 8.7 rebounds per contest.

[player_tooltip player_id='523621' first='Lexi' last='Hecht'], 5'8”, OH, Wamego, ‘26

Heckt is another two-sport prospect, unfortunately, she will miss the event as she is still rehabbing an injury. She is currently ranked No. 40 overall by Prep Dig and No. 4 by Prep Girls Hoops. I have seen her play volleyball, but missed her play basketball last season as her season ended early with an injury. Hect recorded 323 kills last fall for Wamego in 78 sets. She is one of those athletes who jumps out of the gym. She will be missed, but Prep Network scouts wish her a healthy recovery.

[player_tooltip player_id='489348' first='Kyndal' last='Moore'], 6'0”, MB, Ellinwood, ‘26

Moore is one of the talented members of the Ellinwood Eagles that I have yet to see play. She is currently ranked No. 56 overall by Prep Dig. She finished with 264 kills and 369 assists. She can split time as a hitter or setter. I want to see what kind of action she gets on her serve, as she finished with 50 aces last season for the Eagles.

[player_tooltip player_id='523686' first='Addison' last='Hansen'], 6'0”, MB, Salina Central, ‘26

Hansen appears to be a young front-row talent to keep an eye on. She is currently ranked No. 119 overall by Prep Dig Kansas. She finished with 91 kills and 56 blocks in 79 sets played as a sophomore. Her back row numbers are low, so I am guessing she plays primarily on the front.
