Katy United Pre-Nationals: 15s – Right Sides

She used her length very well to score on the right, making contact with the ball at a high point and hitting it toward the end line with tremendous precision. Dobson was very efficient offensively, making very few errors and scoring in key moments. A very physical player, she was an important offensive weapon for them, scoring with great consistency. Smith used her size and power very well to overcome blockers and defenders, but also displayed great vision and the ability to find difficult angles in complicated plays. A lefty, she did a very good job offensively as, despite not being very tall, she got off the floor well and used a lot of different shots to beat blockers and defenders. White also strengthened the team's serve-receive system on some rotations and was very reliable with her passing. Although she will probably add some punch to her swings as she continues to develop, she was still very efficient offensively, making contact with the ball at a high point and making good decisions with her shot selection. She split her team behind the left and the right and did a good job on both spots, playing with great consistency. Although a bit undersized, Short had some success at the net, jumping well and swinging with power and precision - she also set on the middle back position at times too.
