There is a great chance to watch some high school volleyball summer action this week and I plan to be on the road to scout three tournaments.

On June 10, I will be in Lansing as the Lions host a summer tournament with five other Northeast Kansas schools participating. Schools scheduled to compete include Basehor-Linwood, De Soto, Hayden, Mill Valley, and Spring Hill.

Here is a look at a group of ranked players from those schools that I hope to see play tomorrow morning. I decided to focus on ranked athletes from the class of 2025 to feature in this preview.

Stay tuned tomorrow for multiple reports from this event and later in the week Prep Dig will feature scouting reports from summer tournaments in El Dorado and Topeka.

[player_tooltip player_id='153938' first='Saida' last='Jacobs'], 6'1”, MB, Mill Valley, ‘25

Mill Valley has several ranked players, and one of those is middle blocker Jacobs. She is ranked No. 18 overall in the Kansas Class of 2025. She is coming off a junior season in which she finished with 222 kills.

[player_tooltip player_id='493515' first='Ashlyn' last='Blazer'], 6'0”, MB, Mill Valley, ‘25

Blazer is currently ranked No. 38 overall by Prep Dig. She can play middle or outside. During her junior campaign, she recorded 85 blocks and 203 kills for Mill Valley.

[player_tooltip player_id='173385' first='Mikenna' last='Matzeder'], 5'4”, DS/L, Lansing, ‘25

Lansing will be suiting up two squads in the tournament, so I am not sure which prospects I will get to watch closely and which I won't. Matzeder plays libero for the Lions and is currently ranked No. 82 overall in the class of 2025. She finished her junior season with 347 digs and 414 serve receptions.

[player_tooltip player_id='493572' first='Margo' last='Todd'], 5'7”, OH, Spring Hill, ‘25

Spring Hill is a team that I am looking forward to hopefully catching. Todd is ranked No. 109 overall and hits from the outside for the Broncos. She collected 103 kills in 71 sets played during her junior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='493569' first='Brekhan' last='Waters'], 5'9”, RS, Mill Valley, ‘25

Waters hit from the right side or the middle. The Milly Valley prospect is currently ranked No. 146 overall by Prep Dig Kansas. She finished 65 kills and 46 blocks in 81 sets last fall.
